I am so excited about this, and yet sad that it already happened a long time ago. I found an old Pleasant Company catalog of my mom's today, and found this. When Felicity was first introduced to the Historical line, AG held a big party at Colonial Williamsburg, where her stories are set. Here were some of the activities:
-Tea Lesson with Ms. Manderly
-Eat queen cakes and other colonial foods
-Watch the premiere performance of the play "Tea for Felicity"
-Watch a colonial fashion show
-Meet Valerie Tripp, the author and PLEASANT ROWLAND, founder of American Girl!
-Get an autographed copy of "Meet Felicity"
And get a gift bag and other stuff like that!
This all happened in Summer of 1991! I think that AG should totally do this again! What do you think? Do you know anybody who went? I would definitely go if they had it again! We all have to write a letter or send an email to AG, asking them to do it again. What are your thoughts?
