Today I read The Traveler's Tricks: A Caroline Mystery by Laurie Calkhoven, who also wrote the Innerstar University (now discontinued) books Project Friendship, The New Girl, Fork In The Trail and A Winning Goal.

The book is about how Caroline uncovers a thief's secrets. Caroline is going on a trip to Albany to give a important package that is crucial to the war of 1812, and her friend Rhonda is going with her. The trip will take three days by stagecoach. The other passengers on the stagecoach are interesting, but Caroline's package ends up going missing, along with Rhonda's precious locket and a few other belongings of the passengers. Caroline needs to find out who took the items- a magician who's tricks are amazing, a teenager with a mysterious past or someone they didn't suspect at all.

The book was very gripping. I didn't want to put it down! It was filled with detail and I enjoyed every page. American Girl does not sell this book anymore, but I got lucky and found it at my local Barnes and Noble. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars and two thumbs up!

What questions do you have for me for the Melody Release Live Stream?

I really enjoyed reading your thoughts on The Traveler's Tricks! Historical mysteries like this are always so engaging, and it’s great to see strong female characters taking the lead. Caroline’s stagecoach journey and the suspense around the missing items sound fascinating. It actually made me think about how essential it is to be well-prepared while traveling, especially for women. From long trips to short getaways, having the right gear really makes a difference. I recently found a great guide on women's travel accessories that shares must-have essentials for comfort, safety, and style. Whether you're heading out solo or with friends, it's super helpful. Definitely worth a look if you're planning any trips or just love being organized while on the go!
