Ruthie is one of my favorite dolls. I think it is her wig that I love so much, and her grey eyes. She reminds me of my grandma - who oddly enough was born in the 20s, so would have been just about the right age for Ruthie. My grandma had that same hair style, even when she was old she dyed her hair dark brown/black 😊. I just think she's so pretty - definitely in my top 10 dolls. - Mom
@Admin I hope you see this. Couldn't figure out where to put it. I am rereading The Real Z. I must not have been paying enough attention the first time. On page 24, Z is caught out by her teacher who wants her to do a math problem. "If you simplify three-sixths and make it one-third. . . . " Oops. That is one half. Teacher doesn't catch it, author wrote it, editor didn't get it. Ahh well. I guess Z is really is lucky that day.
In the Kit mystery A Thief in the Theater, Ruthie has a pet goldfish named Felix that Kit has to look after while Ruthie is vacationing with her parents at her grandparents' place by the lake.
Where did you get that picture of Ruthie? Her hair looks messy.
I was always a little disappointed with Ruthie and her collection. It’s funny how her best friend collection is the smallest out of the other BF dolls even tho Kit’s movie was the first and only movie to be in theatres. Also her appearance just never made me think Ruthie. The doll I imagined before they released her was honestly how Rebecca looks. Her hair is closer to the chestnut brown as seen in the Kit books, and I was always sad they didn’t release her famous yellow dress that’s seen throughout the books. She’s still very cute tho. I just wish she had had a bigger collection and looked more like the books
