There are better location sites on the Eastside like Issaquah, Bellevue, Redmond or North Bend Outlet where American Girl could open a smaller store. For the closest store to be in So Cal is unrealistic. Washington is a state that has so many children that love AG. I hope they reconsider this part of the country so children won’t miss out here.
we do our best to make visits, though we live multiple hours away! We are from now on committed to making at least an annual visit for our daughter's birthday. I worry it will turn out like toys r us with just a couple re-openings after years of debt/closures; but AG has had a bad stigma around their lack of diversity for serval years now; even if I don't agree with them, and their high prices aren't good odds for them. places like Macy's even closed they are claiming because of covid. I don't know if I would gamble covid encouraging everyone to stay home to re new lease anywhere either. it's business really.
If they close Chicago, It will take a LONG road trip for me to go to my first AG store :(. I had been to a very small, barely-any-stuff-left closing one, but that's not the same. Plz, keep Chicago! (I doubt they would close it, but who knows And they TOTALLY need a store in Wisconsin, besides just the headquarters. I mean, American girl started there, so why not have a store?
