Every Non-Book Media AG Characters Have Starred In

There's been so many different forms of entertainment the American Girl characters have starred in besides the AG books: videos, movies, plays, even video games! But there's so many obscure kinds of American Girl media that you might not even know about, so I figured I'd make a list of all the non-book media that the American Girl characters have been apart of!

  • Kaya

Kaya was apart of the American Girls Revue and Circle of Friends musicals performed at the American Girl stores in New York and Chicago until 2008.

  • Felicity

Felicity got her own movie, Felicity: An American Girl Adventure, that was released in 2005, and she was also apart of the American Girls Revue and Circle of Friends musicals performed at the American Girl stores in New York and Chicago until 2008.

  • Caroline

Caroline had her own app game on the App Store, "Port to Port".

  • Josefina

Josefina was apart of the American Girls Revue and Circle of Friends musicals performed at the American Girl stores in New York and Chicago until 2008.

  • Cecile and Marie-Grace

Cecile and Marie-Grace had their own app game on the App Store, "Secret Wardrobe".

  • Kirsten

  • Addy

Addy had her own play that ran in the Children's Theater of Seattle and toured the nation in 2007, "Addy: An American Girl Story". She also was apart of the American Girls Revue and Circle of Friends musicals performed at the American Girl stores in New York and Chicago until 2008.

  • Samantha

Samantha had her own movie, "Samantha: An American Girl Holiday", that debuted in 2004. She was also apart of the American Girls Revue and Circle of Friends musicals performed at the American Girl stores in New York and Chicago until 2008.

  • Rebecca

Rebecca was featured in the American Girl Live musical that toured the nation from the end of 2018 to mid-2019.

  • Kit

Kit had her own movie, "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl", where she was the only American Girl doll so far to have a movie released in theaters as opposed to TV/streaming. The movie was released in 2008. She also had 2 video games in the late 2000s, "Kit Mystery Challenge" for the Nintendo DS and "A Tree House Of My Own" for CD ROM.

  • Nanea

Nanea was featured in the American Girl Live musical that toured the nation from the end of 2018 to mid-2019.

Molly had a movie, "Molly, An American Girl on the Home Front", released in 2006, and was also in the American Girl Revue and Circle of Friends shows.

  • Maryellen

Maryellen had a short film, "Maryellen and the Brightest Star", released in 2015, and a Amazon special "Maryellen 1955: Extraordinary Christmas", released in 2016. She also was featured in the American Girl Live musical that toured the nation from the end of 2018 to mid-2019, and had her own app released when she did called Rocket Rally.

  • Melody

Melody had a Amazon special "Melody 1963: Love Has To Win", which was released in 2016. She also was featured in the American Girl Live musical that toured the nation from the end of 2018 to mid-2019.

  • Julie

Julie had a short film, "And The Tiara Goes To...", released in 2015, and a Amazon special based on Ivy: "Ivy and Julie 1976: A Happy Balance", released in 2017. She also was featured in the American Girl Live musical that toured the nation from the end of 2018 to mid-2019, and had 2 video games based on her in the late 2000s: Julie Finds A Way for the DS and Julie Saves The Eagles for the CD-ROM.

  • Courtney

A 25-minute stopmotion movie, "Meet Courtney: An American Girl", was released on American Girl's YouTube in 2020.

  • Isabel and Nicki

A 2D-animated webseries, "Isabel and Nicki's Super-Duper Twin Adventures", is currently being released on American Girl's YouTube.

  • Mia

A CD-Rom game, Mia Goes For Great, was released for the 2008 Girl of the Year.

  • Chrissa

The first ever Girl of the Year movie, Chrissa Stands Strong, was released at the beginning of 2009.

  • Kanani

A game app, "Shave Ice", was released near the end of 2011 for Kanani.

  • McKenna

Not only did McKenna get an app, "Gymtastic", but she also got a movie, "McKenna Shoots for the Stars", released in the middle of 2012.

  • Saige

At the beginning of 2013, Saige's app "Paint Ponies" released, and in the middle of the year, her movie "Saige Paints The Sky" released.

  • Isabelle

At the beginning of 2014, Isabelle's app "Dance Studio" released, and in the middle of the year, her movie "Isabelle Dances Into The Spotlight" released.

  • Grace

At the beginning of 2015, Grace's app "Sweet Shop" released, and in the middle of the year, her movie "Grace Stirs Up Success" released.

  • Lea

At the beginning of 2016, Lea's app "Lea: Born for Adventure" released, and in the middle of the year, her movie "Lea To The Rescue" released.

  • Luciana

Luciana was featured in the American Girl Live musical that toured the nation from the end of 2018 to mid-2019.

  • Blaire

Live action cooking tutorial videos themed to Blaire were released throughout her year of 2019.

  • Joss

A stop-motion series themed to Joss was released at the beginning of 2020.

  • Kira

A stop-motion series themed to Kira was released at the beginning of 2021.

  • Corinne

A stop-motion series themed to Corinne was released at the beginning of 2022, and a movie was filmed in the summer of 2022, but no release plans have been revealed for it yet.

  • Kavi

A 3D animated series themed to Kavi was released at the beginning of 2023. Plans for a movie were hinted at in the middle of 2022, but no updates have been revealed.

  • Z

An Amazon special themed to Z, "Summer Camp: Friends for Life", was released in 2017, in addition to the "Z.crew" series that introduced AG fans to Z back in 2015.


So, that's everything! What would you want to watch or play?


Out of all the American Girl musicals, I've only seen American Girl Live back in 2019, so I'd love to see the older ones, especially Addy's! I also would love to try the video games, and maybe if AG revived the apps, I could finally beat Lea: Born for Adventure.
