Purple-Eyed Gwynn?

It has been noticed by American Girl fans that visit the store in Los Angeles that the display Gwynn at that store has eyes that turned purple!
Is it a problem I want a purple-eyed Gwynn? She looks kind of cute!
(And, for your reference, the Gwynns at the AGP Charlotte today all had brown eyes.)
I honestly have no idea why they would keep her in the store like that, but I think I know why she looks like that. Usually when you get your dolls eyes wet they rust and turn silver, however on Rainbow High dolls they turn pink. I believe that because Gwynn's eyes cannot close they are possibly made like a RH dolls which made her eyes change color to pink.
I wonder if that will happen to my Gwynn. It kind of looks like she's posessed.
wut if their eyes are actually oxidizing or they could be cameras installed to prevent ppl from stealing.
