ok so hi, i um was looking on the ag website and i am confruzeled. this is what was on the 8 and up thingy
then i checked beckies colection, she did not have it, then i checked the ag wiki, and i found it again?
i am like, What the... so yeah were in the presant now. yay byeeee
Edit: what are your theries?
The coat set is available for Rebecca. That strip that goes around may not have it listed but if you go to her collection is is there.
As far as the Hanukkah Outfit vs. the Kwanzaa Outfit - the Hanukkah Outfit is made from a more expensive fabric and has a silver necklace, shoes, etc. The Kwanzaa Outfit is a simple cotton type fabric with a print - no glitter or additions, sandals, a beaded bracelet - and I know the cup and candle holder are plastic - whereas the Menorah is made of metal and individual plastic candles. The only two menorahs that I know are available are Rebecca's and the one available in the Hanukkah Mystery Packages and you have to buy the large $64 set in order to get the Menorah - it is not available in the individual $8 packages.
I don't think that AG is targeting any group who they think has more money - the items you mentioned cost more to make verses a cheaper product made of plastic.
I hope I have cleared up something - I love diversity and own all of these products - so I'm not taking any sides. Just trying to give reasons.
Also something weird I saw on the ag site YOU CAN’T PURCHASE CLAUDIE!!! what!?!?!? Idk what’s going on but you can’t buy her!! It doesn’t even say anything like out of stock! it’s just weird 😰 I’m concerned
It's available on AG for $44 right now as I type. My theory is they had demand for the product and brought it back.
This is probably going to come across as a gross generalization, so please forgive me in advance, but....... Probably a lot of Jewish purchasers have the "extra" cash to spend on more items or more expensive gifts, and I think AG knows this and inflates the cost of Rebecca's items and the other "Jewish" specific items. I look specifically at the truly me Hannukah outfit at $38 with just the simple headband and necklace compared with the Kwanzaa outfit that also is $38, but comes with a cup, candles and candle holder, and the mat. If you want the Menorah and dreidel you have to pay an extra $20. Now is this because they think that Jewish people are just more wealthy and will pay, or that they think that African Americans don't make enough money to be able to afford the same things? Is this in effect capitalistic affirmative action? If so, what are your thoughts and feelings towards this?
