Hiya, papayas! BAD BRI. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE UP LAST NIGHT. Here’s part four of Evermore season 3. Since I gave away Lia, Harper is now portrayed by Kira, etc…here are the new lineups:
Ex. Lia HARPER New. Kira
Ex. Luci CAYLA New. Haidyn
Ex. Ben BEN New. Joshua
Everly (Lanie) is dead, so no need for change there
Sofia never played anyone
I think Jada may have been Livia. Well, now Arianna (my doll, not the character) is
Evermore, Part four
“I hate to be arguing over death,” I started, “but I killed her.”
“With what?” Joslyn challenged.
I held up an arrow which was dripping with blood. “This.”
Joslyn rolled her eyes. “Well…” She held up another arrow with a striking resemblance to mine, with blood in all the same spots.
“How is that possible?” I asked.
“Liv, chill. Maybe we just both killed her.”
“No.” I said, “She was stabbed in one place.”
“Livia.” Joslyn warned. “Don’t take credit for the bad things.”
Now I was confused. “J-J-Joslyn, I d-d-don’t g-get it.”
Joslyn pressed the accept call button on her phone, although I don’t know who was on the other end. “May-Day.” She whispered.
Darkness embraced me once again. I didn’t know where I was, until I awoke in a rustic, old time-y cabin.
“Where am I?” I shot up off the floor, alert.
“Um…” I think that was Amy.
“Where was I?” I added, pulling on the door handle to hoist myself off the ground. The floor creaked beneath my feet, Amy’s, and Josh’s.
He was standing behind Amy with a hand on her shoulder. “Mrs. Whitaker, three days ago (the day before her death) told me that when she died, I was to protect Amy.”
Amy’s 8-year-old face glowed with pride as Josh mentioned her, and then stopped. “Death?”
“One moment, Amy.” Josh whispered. He pulled me aside. “She doesn’t know yet. How do I tell her?”
“I don’t know.” I replied. “I’ve never had to walk up to a kid saying ‘Hey, kid, your grandmother and legal guardian and the most important adult in your life got killed by savage evil people’, don’t you think?”
“Fine. Just tell her this.” I wrote out something on a piece of paper.
Amy, don’t take this the wrong way, but Renèe, your Grandma, has been killed by the Ravens. Please, try your best to clear your mind of this topic. We love you.
I watched as he handed the paper to Amy. She looked up at him, and grabbed a wimp-stick.
“You could’ve told me.” She muttered. Acting like Harry Potter, she recited Formulari complet, si us plau as if she’d been practicing all her life.
Amy then passed out on the ground.
By Arianna Westphal
Minutes till we die: 46
Feet we have left before we fall in the lava: 22
How close Lacy is to picking the lock: Not close
How much pain I’m in: A lot
How many times Lacy has whined or panicked: At least ten
How terrible Lacy looks: Terrible
How terrible I, Ari, look: Worse than Lacy
I ripped off that page and let it fly from our cell. I wrote out a new list:
Things I’ve Learned While Locked In This Cell
By Arianna Westphal
-That Lacy can’t pick a lock
-That my hair and heat don’t mix
-That every two minutes, this cage lowers one foot
-That Cassia probably isn’t coming back
I stopped there, and threw it into the lava. I made a new list:
Shadow Creek Ravens I Know About, And Some I Think May Be
By Arianna Westphal
I think maybe Cal O’Brien, but she could just be a liaison
That list was burned, and that got me thinking. Burned.
Oh, one sec. “Lacy, 21 feet, 44 minutes.”
Yeah, well, where were we? Oh, right. Burned. If the lava was gonna burn us, might as well start a fire that will change the world. I rewrote what I could remember from my lists (which was everything, and to ‘Things I’ve Learned’, I added ‘I am a good list maker’.) and tossed them onto the nearest platform.
I also wrote little slips of paper like “Cassia, if you’re reading this, I miss you already” “Cal O’Brien is A Liaison” and finally, “This is proof that Arianna Caroline Westphal and Lacy Marie Tanner were killed in the lava pits of Shadow Creek”
Phew. My hand hurt. And then with a creak, the cell door opened. “Lacy, you’re a genius.”
“...and basically, yeah.” Joslyn had told me her theory about how two people killed one person with one arrow.
“So we went back in time, and somehow you got distracted and didn’t kill her, and I did?” I was a little confused.
“Um, yeah. I’m not sure if I’m right.”
Just as we exited Shadow Creek (there’s a shortcut! I’m not telling you though. It's a secret!), Lacy whooped.
“OH SWEET FREEDOM!” It was sunny for once in the past few months. It felt good to be under no pressure, no chains…
Oh, you wanna know how we got out of the handcuffs and leg irons? That’s not for now, dears. Just as we were in a random car (huh??) I remembered:
Someone might find my papers. I cursed myself for not picking them up.
Josh stared at me. “What did she just do?”
It hit me. Arianna would know. All week she’d been hinting that she was somehow related to Mrs. Whitaker, genetically or not. “I need to get Lacy and Ari. Stay with Amy. Figure out what happened to her.” I muttered, and ran out.
Once at Shadow Creek, my phone pinged. Josh.
Josh: She’s not dead, she tried to perform a spell to bring her to her true form, but she’s in her true form. Basically, she’ll be unconscious for a few days, that’s all.
He didn’t text back. I stepped into the lava room, the cell, I noticed, was open. A crumpled up paper lay aimlessly on the ground, so I uncrumpled it. It read:
“This is proof that Arianna Caroline Westphal and Lacy Marie Tanner were killed in the lava pits of Shadow Creek”.
“No.” I whispered. I recognized Arianna’s loopy, unique handwriting. She didn’t… “No.” I said again.
Haha. I am evil for leaving you there!
Your questions shall be:
Whose car are Ari and Lacy in?
Was Joslyn’s theory correct?
Is Amy really okay?
Will the Ravens find Cassia? (Hint: I’m morbid)
