Hi everyone, I'm new here, and I thought it would be fun to share my AG collection as an introduction! Let me know which dolls you have or about any questions! I will try to put them in order, but I honestly don't know about the order for most of them. Buckle in, because I have a lot!
.) My first doll is Samantha. She was a gift from my grandma when I was turning 8 years old. She's an old Pleasant Company Samantha from eBay. She's in kind of rough shape, but I love her anyway, and she was sent to the doll hospital after her head came off. I swear I'm better at taking care of dolls now.
.) I got rid of a lot of my childhood dolls, so my third doll was Elizabeth Cole. I got her from my mom. She has a British accent of course and sis is fancy. She got a new head from the doll hospital and I really love her and her collection. Felicity's old collection is so beautiful as well, especially that dark blue gown.
.) My fourth childhood doll is Rebecca Rubin. I still remember when I opened her all those years ago and how happy I was to have her. I connect with with her because she is Jewish (I am ethnically Jewish).
.) My ninth childhood doll was Kaya. She's not really a favorite of mine and I don't know why. I would love to connect with her, so maybe I will try to soon.
.) I went on the AG cruise when I was ten, and I got McKenna Brooks from AG for free! I loved her as a kid and I would always play gymnastics with her. But now, I have fallen out of love with her and I would maybe like to sell her with her paperwork.
.) My last childhood doll I have is Ivy Ling. I love this doll! Her eye shape is gorgeous, and I would love a number 64 with that eye shape as well as they are out there because Z Yang is so expensive and I would rather get a holiday doll. I got her from the American Girl store when I was older, so she is in perfect condition!
.) The first doll I got as an adult after taking a break from AG was Gabby McBride. I got her online for a cheap price from AG as a tribute to my past, but she got me obsessed again. As a result, I really appreciate her.
.) Now I don't know the order because I have so many after that, so I will group them by category and maybe a short blurb about them. Note that I'm on a mission to collect all the historicals. Felicity Merriman I got with a mini Samantha.
.) Caroline was my dream doll! So happy to have her!
.) Josefina Montoya
.) Cecile Rey is an interesting one. I got her in bad condition and named her Tucha Morada after the drink Chi Cha Morada. Then I sent her to the doll hospital.
.) Marie Grace has a tilted head, but she's still so beautiful.
.) Kirsten is one that's on the way. I got her in her factory braids for 55 dollars. I call her my temporary Kirsten until I get a brand new one from AG whenever she releases.
.) Addy Walker is special to me since she's originally from my state!
.) Nellie O'Malley is another one of my dream dolls. I wanted her so badly as a kid.
.) I got Claudie for my recent birthday at the AG store in Charlotte. She is one of my favorites! Absolutely love the new stuff that will be coming out!
.) Kit Kittredge. I got her for my community college graduation from AG. She is the 100th birthday Kit.
.) Ruthie Smithens. Ruthie was boring to me before, but I have grown a weird fondness of her. She slays and is so supportive of her friends.
.) Nanea. I originally didn't like her, but when I saw her in person, I fell in love!
.) Molly McIntire. I got her from my mom in Charlotte.
.) Emily Bennett might be my least favorite historical that I have. I don't know. She just doesn't stick out to me.
.) Maryellen Larkin
.) Melody Ellison. She reminds me of Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man.
.) Julie Albright. I was on a mission to find the original Julie from my childhood for a good price. I did!
.) Courtney. She is mini me.
.) Isabel Hoffman. I love her look so much!
.) Makena Williams. Such a unique doll, and I love collecting unique dolls so much.
.) Evette Peeters. My favorite! She wears a Hogwarts robe all the time.
.) Maritza Ochoa. Loved her more online because of her eyelashes.
.) Jess. Got her for 40 dollars!
.) Mia St. Clair. Mia is amazing and I totally recommend her.
.) Lanie Holland. I love gardening too!
.) Kanani Akina. I had a doll hospital version of her that I didn't like, so I got the original and she is my favorite goty now!
.) Saige Copeland. I am selling her now. Just didn't connect with her.
.) Isabelle Palmer. She's sooo pretty.
.) Grace Thomas. I can connect with her because I love French and France as well!
.) Lea. She actually reminds me of a former classmate and that's what I think of when I look at her sometimes. It's all good, though.
.) Blaire. I am selling her because I just think she's really boring.
.) Joss Kendrick. I absolutely love her and her story.
.) Kira. I'm going to sell her. I can connect with her story, but she looks too similar to Julie.
.) Corinne. I like her collection better than Kavi's. I think she is better than Kavi tbh.
.) Gwynn. If you don't have a Wellie Wisher yet, then you should get one. They are so adorable!
.) Truly Me 35: Georgiana. She is named after the main character in the Duchess.
.) Truly Me 37: Carrie. Was an impulse buy, but I love her and she is one of my favorites.
.) Truly Me 92: Carmen. Such a beautiful doll. She is the bartender in the coffee shop.
Whew... that's all of them. I am still trying to collect a holiday doll and more dolls of color, though! And of course, Nicki Hoffman.
Best wishes,
Kelsey
Wow that's a big collection! And welcome! I have 6 dolls atm mostly truly me dolls but I love historicals and I'm looking for more! So cool you have harder to find dolls like Elizabeth, Caroline and Cecile and ivy!!
Hey! We have the same number of dolls! I actually bought 2 of them to fix up and resell. I'm also on a mission to get all the historicals! Right now I'm only missing Nanea.
I enjoyed reading your post. It provides a great deal of useful information and is really detailed. Additionally, I desire to introduce you to rocket bot royale, a genuinely astonishing amusement device. Anyway, I hope to see more of your contributions in the future.
