I from a doll decision to make. I love my 92, Lilakai. I have plans to make her Navajo, adding Navajo style touches to her meet outfit and accessories, making her the traditional yarn hair tie, and even jewlry. BI've fallen in love with Corinne after finishing her books last night. She and I are so much alike. I'm thinking about trading Lilakai in for Corinne, I don't want to buy a whole nother doll. But then I think of all the things I want to do with Lilakai and I hesitate on the trade in. I don't think I'll use Corinne's collection, I did at one time, but maybe not. I hoped writing this all out would help. I'm not Navajo or even Native American. My three times Great Grandma's Cherokee I don't think counts. Idon't think it's bad or wrong to make a doll from a culture that your not from yourself, I just don't know what to do. See, Corinne and I are so alike. Iguess I've still got some thinking to do. Maybe a second read through of Corinne's books will help.

Agree on keeping Lila. You will be heartbroken later that you didn't fully make her yours. There are so many great things to do with the Navajo theme. I hope she turns out just the way you want her. I'm a light shade of ivory/pink, but I have dolls that are lots of shades of brown. I love Mexican food, but I'm not Mexican. And for all the cultural appropriation people out there...... The Native Americans better start dressing in deer skins again and lose the blue jeans. Because, blue jeans are actually Italian, so everyone else in the world can't wear them either........ and I'm mostly British and Scottish, so maybe I'll go paint myself blue - although I don't think I was actually Pictish, who was the Scottish group that painted themselves...... have I brought this to it's logical conclusion yet?
I would DEFINETLY keep the 92 and wait to see if you really want Corinne.
I think your answer is "I love my 92."
Yeah, I would keep 92, and maybe look for a used Corinne later if you decide you want her.
I'd keep your 92. Maybe Corinne will go on sale.
