exactly. this is beautiful and so true. i only listen to sad songs and people think thats weird. probably bc it makes them sad. but sad songs make me happy bc it helps me feel understood. music is literally the only thing that understands me, and i think other people might be able to relate?

@yourrbestiee YES! At school, a teacher asked me what A song was. I have known that song since I was two, probably. I’ve always wanted to go to that ballet. Half a decade by now, i think. So I told him, “Swan Lake, by Tchaikovsky.” Apparently no one knows what Swan Lake is? I said something about swan lake to a kid and he’s like, “Yeah, cool. What’s swan lake?”

THE ONLY BALLET THEY KNOW IS THE NUTCRACKER.

Sad songs? There’s nothing wrong with them. Sometimes, for me, it’s uplifting To hear the voices and lyrics, the melody of someone saying the exact way you feel.
