I peeked over the desk at Courtney. She was about to open the card. I was so excited! Courtney opened the card and glitter shot out at her face. Just then the teacher walked in the room. Courtney had glitter all over her face, like I had planned. But there was the teacher. ugh, I was so stupid not to think of the teacher. Courtney said it was me and I got detention that day.
When I walked down the hall to detention I felt disappointed. Disappointed in myself, because EVERYONE was disappointed in me. This was my first detention ever. First ever detention in my whole life. I hadnt come up with anything when I walked into school the next morning. I just had to wish upon the brightest star-which right now was the sun, the only star- that Courtney hadn’t come up with anything either. But the sun never granted my wishes.
