Hi guys!!!! I’m SO sorry that I havent been active recently, I have been super busy with camp and stuff. But today I want to mention something that annoys me SOOOO much, and it probably annoys most of you too. I’m 12 years old (almost 13) and I obviously love AG dolls. I want to keep collecting them, but a lot of people tell me, ”oh you shouldnt keep getting them, your gonna outgrow them”. For example, last year when the CYO dolls released, I told my dad that I might try to save up for one and I told him how much they were. He said ”One year from now, youll want to spend your $200 on something else”. It’s been almost a year, and I’m still saving for a CYO doll. Just because im older than the target market doesnt mean im going to stop liking dolls anytime soon. Does this stuff annoy you guys too??

im 12 going on 13 too and I totally agree.
And sure, I have a lot of dolls. But I still love them because WHY NOT? THEY‘RE AG’S! AND AWESOME! We can like dolls at WHATEVER AGE,
I’m 15. I have 16 dolls. What difference does age make? Age is just a number. It’s an 8+! Not an 8-[low number]. #NeverTooOldForDolls and yes @alebookworm09 AG needs to #BringBackEmily and Molly bc #WeWantMolly and what’s Em w/out Olly Molly??
I'm new here but I can't not say this again. #bringbackemily
My inspiration was the fact that they need to #bringbackemily
I just wanted to put this here because I had an idea for ag to make a new line for older girls. they would have longer more complex books, but be the same dolls. and to make it even more awesome, they should be from all over the world! also, #bringbackemily
ahh this really annoys me to! my fam is really supportive but there are definitely some people who think im to old and i shouldn't waste money on dolls. It really sucks but we just have to keep doing what we love!
Btw, I didn't mention the Katie and Kelsey (mine is Kelsie) dolls you had lol
Hey, guys! Sorry, I haven't been on here in awhile. I've been really busy with schoolwork and finals, but now I'm done for the semester! I finally got to see my Create Your Own doll on Thanksgiving! I just made a video of her and uploaded it on my youtube. Here is the link to the video!

Omg congrats! I can’t wait to see her!
My doll arrived at my grandparents' house today! Can't wait till I'm home for Thanksgiving to open her!
Also my grandma told me that my grandpa talked to my dad about getting my doll clothes down from the attic and he said he would do it! I am finally going to get to start collecting again!
Today I received another update on my doll. I thought she was going to arrive between the 15th-18th, but that was just the dates that she was expected to arrive at the shipping facility. She is now officially on her way and should be here by the end of the day next Friday the 26th!
Her name do is Annabelle Ashlyn Young! I can’t get the picture of her on here, she has light red straight medium length hair, grey eyes, classic mold, light skin, freckles, braces, earrings, and hot pink glasses! She has the Let’s Play outfit and accessories.
Wow!!! That must have been hard to have had to wait that long but I'm sure it was worth the wait when you finally got her! What is your CYO's name and what does she look like?
My mom called AG on the phone and yelled at them when the doll hadn’t arrived yet, they said there was a bad shipment of faces, and around the time the doll was ordered, literally every option was backordered.
AGKawaii, why did it take so long?!? Were some of your choices backordered?
Cool! I hope she arrive soon! When my mom ordered my CYO, it took five months for her to arrive!
I just got an email from American Girl that my doll has been shipped! The estimated delivery date is the 15th-18th! That was fast considering I ordered her a week ago!
AGSMs are really fun! Doll photography is fun too! Hopefully you try them!
Thank you for your comments! I think she turned out great and I can't wait to see her in person! I am back at college now and won't be home again till Thanksgiving, but I hope she comes before then so I can open her up and see her when I come home.
Also, I hope to start trying stop motion after I get her. I've never tried it before but it looks really fun! I already started a YouTube channel and subscribed to my favorite AG YouTubers but I don't have any videos up yet. My channel is called AGdancer97 and I might also create an Instagram of the same name to share doll photos.
YASSSSS KAWAIIIII
TOTEMO KAWAII! (sorry i felt the need to be a nerd today)
She's soooo pretty! I hope to get a CYO too, but only if I get AG gift cards for Christmas/my birthday I'll start saving up.
She’s so beautiful! 😍 I hope she arrive soon!
Here is my doll. She has the light red natural short wig, light skin, freckles, and Hazel eyes. She also has the B face mold (Josephina I think) and pierced ears. I designed her around Christmas and she was originally dressed in the donut print skirt outfit but that one is no longer available so I changed it to this one because it's my favorite color! I will be naming her Abbie Grace (get it, her initials are AG!)
I am going to tell my parents about it later and my grandma is going to ask my dad again if we can get my doll clothes out of the attic.
Hey, I finally ordered my Create Your Own doll today! I felt most comfortable having it shipped to my grandma's house rather than to my house or my college, so that is what I did. I am so excited to see her when she arrives!
Yeah! She’s one of your parent’s parents anyway!
Woah!
PS- Also my dolls have been dressed in their Christmas dresses since 2012!
Thank you for your tips, but I think I may have come up with a plan on how to tell my parents. Right now, the only person who knows about and supports my doll collecting is my grandma. She is the one who has wanted my doll clothes out of the attic all these years. She says that the summer heat is not good for them up there. It feels a little awkward for me to bring it up to my parents myself so I was thinking about asking my grandma to talk to my parents about getting the stuff out of the attic and then I come in and say how I want to start collecting again. I hope this plan works as I want to start trying filming and photography with my dolls which I realized that so many of the teen and young adult collectors around my age are into these days.
If dolls are your passion, no one can change that. If they don’t like that you still like dolls tell them that you can be interested in whatever you want, and no one can force you to like or not like something. And mention the 8+ thing lol.
If you use them for filming, you could try bringing that up. If not, just say what you feel. If dolls make you happy and you want to collect them, chances are your parents will support you. Hope this can help!

Hi, I'm new to commenting on here, but I have been reading this website for a few years. I am 21 years old and still ❤️ my AG dolls! I started collecting when I got my first doll for Christmas back in 2004. Now I have 5 and want to get back into collecting as an adult. The only thing is, I am worried that my parents will say I'm too old if I tell them that I want to keep collecting. My dolls are still in my room, but my dad moved all my doll clothes up to the attic 5 or 6 years ago. I really want to get them out and buy a CYO doll with a gift card I got for Christmas but I am afraid to bring it up to my parents because of my age. Does anyone have any tips on how to overcome this fear and get my collection back?
I LOVE AG AND IF SOMEONE SAYS I AM TOO OLD ILL SMACK THEM 😂
I LOVE IT! 8+!!!
MeMyDolls&I YESSSSS I SO AGREE WITH U! U R SOOO RIGHT!
One time I was talking to one of my friends who likes AG about possibly getting Luciana and some girls came over and looked at me weirdly and said “you play with dolls?!” as if there was something wrong with it. You are never to old for dolls, AG boxes say they are for ages 8+ THERE IS NO LIMIT IT IS A PLUS SIGN NOT A DASH WITH SOME ITHER NUMBER!
OMG YES THAT ANNOYS ME SOOO MUCH
Heyyyy! I love Clarkie Siwa(everygirlsasupergirl) I saw u were following her,do you wanna be friends?
Yes! This annoys me so much!! My mom and dad don't mind me spending money on dolls because they know I make stop motions and such, but my friends have said some hurtful things to me about how I like dolls. I hate it when people say "Oh, you will grow out of dolls soon." because I know there are collage students that play with dolls and plenty of Adult Collectors. All those people who grow out of dolls are just really missing out.
Oh and a nice comeback for if your dad ever says you will regret paying so much for a doll, tell him “I won’t regret it if I sell it on eBay for double or triple the amount I got it for!”
You are my age! :D and no one really says that to me. When I wanted to save up for my CYO Annabelle last year, my mom didn’t mind and she let me save the design, and I got her for my bday! (But she came in 5 months late...)
