I love Wicked. Not only the soundtrack, but seeing the show live was amazing. I thought I wouldn't need to see the show as I had listened to the soundtrack so many times, but boy was I glad to be wrong. So of course I was thrilled that Glinda's and Elphaba's outfits were released by American Girl. I hadn't thought of getting a Wicked costume for my dolls until then. But then I saw the price. I've thought of a few different ways I could re-use the Elphaba outfit, Wednesday Adams, a concert violin performance outfit, and maybe even a historic outfit if a bonnet or hat was added. Although black was worn for mourning back then, so maybe not. I haven't figured out any other uses for Glinda's outfit, as the discription discribes the gown as valumonous, and I'm having a little trouble picturing it. I also saw a review that said that Glinda's crown, necklace, and septer could easily break if minipulated too much. So my question for those who have either or both outfits is, are they worth the $80 a piece, or would I be better off buying one or both from an Etsy seller? Let me know your thoughts, good, bad, or in between. Thanks
