So, after I read the blog post that Sydney made earlier about Kira Bailey, I immediately started researching. By research, I of course mean googling and searching on ancestry.
So, I found that the last name ’Bailey’ originates in England. Basing it off the fact that Joss was a brunette, that we haven’t had a blonde GOTY in over 6 years at this point (I don’t count Tenney as a GOTY), and the Saige and Blaire pattern, I figured she would be blonde.
While Sydney said she may have the Josefina mold, I don’t think so.
The Josefina mold was obviously not made for white dolls.
But Mattel said, ‘screw that!’
With all of the things going on in the world at the moment, I think American Girl’s days of putting the Josefina mold on white dolls is done with. (Obviously not including CYO.)
With all this in mind, I present to you, my prediction for Kira!
I am personally pretty happy with this. I would have been happier if she was African American or Asian, but at least we get more blonde dolls!
