Luciana walked into the hospital and asked to see Ella. The news she heard shocked her.

"Sorry, Ms. Vega, but Ms. Ella is in Observation. She started to forget important things, such as family members she'd known forever, her parents names, things like that. But you can go see Ms. Clair," the nurse said. Luciana nodded and headed to Clair's room. Clair was in there, reading a magazine.

"Hey!" she said when Luciana walked in, "Did you hear about Ella?" Luciana nodded, feeling unable to speak. "Yeah, it's a real bummer. And if she doesn't get her memory back before school starts, she won't be able to go. She was looking forward to it so much. It was actuelly her idea to host your party. She wanted to celebrate her best friend going to college," Clair said.

Luciana felt heartbroken. She hadn't known Ella had had the idea for the party, she would have thanked her sooner. And now Ella might not be able to go to her dream school.

Luciana visited everyone, then went home and flopped on her bed and pondered. How was it fair that Luciana might be able to go to her dream school, but not Ella? Why did the accident have to happen at all? Luciana cried until Isadora came in.

"Luci, Mami says, have you been crying?" she asked, stopping when she saw Luciana's tear stained face. She nodded, and Isa came over and gave her a big hug. Luciana sniffed and hugged her sister back.

"Now, what's the problem?" Isa asked after they finished.

"Well, Ella is forgetting a lot of things and might not be able to go to her dream school, and that makes me feel sad for her," Luciana said. "Well, maybe you should just hope for the best," Isa suggested.
