Once again, after an attempt in 2005 and rumors of one in 2015, American Girl is looking to enter the makeup and hair business. I have heard rumors that American Girl will be partnering with Centric Brands, which makes branded bath and beauty products, to create hair and makeup products for girls. There is rumored to be a comb, lip balm, lip gloss, eye shadow, nail polish, and other cosmetics.

The American Girl Centric Brands Makeup and Hair Collection is all about celebrating youthful beauty and creativity, but it’s also a good reminder that beauty trends—like lip fillers—should be approached with care. While experimenting with looks is fun, adults seeking cosmetic enhancements should be cautious. Poor lip injection techniques can lead to unnatural results or even health issues. Learning from lip injection technique mistakes helps ensure any enhancements complement your natural features, much like this collection aims to do in a playful and age-appropriate way.
The launch of American Girl-centric makeup and hair collections celebrates self-expression and creativity for young girls. Encouraging confidence in beauty routines at an early age can foster a positive self-image. For adults looking for professional skincare and wellness treatments, a Medical Spa in Placentia offers expert services to enhance natural beauty.
I wonder when they will release. I’m going to guess it be either later this month or in August. We should have some Halloween costumes released later this month or next month.
It looks like this is going to be another collab. I have not heard of Centric Brands before. I wonder how much it is going to cost. It would be wonderful if there was a cosmetic set based on the historical characters. They could show a picture of Kit on a lipstick or an image of Samantha on a comb. If there are historical character nail polish each can show a picture of a historical character. It is also amazing if they could be a Summer McKinny inspired cosmetic set. I remember she wears rainbow tennis shoes and there could be a nail polish that is multicolored. 🌈
Unless it’s regulated, I would never buy any of it for a child. Makeup for adults has to meet certain safety standards (but still fails, so PLEASE don’t buy cheap dollar store makeup or Halloween face paint from Target etc—find quality stuff). Makeup for children very often doesn’t need to meet the same regulations as adult makeup. As a result, it’s often cheaply manufactured in Asia and contains dangerous levels of metals, minerals, and chemicals toxic to humans. They can even contain endocrine disrupters—which mess with the body’s hormones and thus several key bodily functions related to metabolism, brain development, reproductive organs, and can cause cancer. They have been linked to ADHD as well (brain development).
I don’t share this…
