Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a few of the American Girl stores will be closing their doors for good. The stores are:
Kansas City
Atlanta
Denver
"While decisions that impact our associates, our customers, and the community are always difficult, the closures are a necessary step to optimize our store portfolio and accelerate our expanding e-commerce business,” Jamie Cygielman said about the store closures.
The leases would have expired in early 2021.
I visited the Atlanta store in 2016 and it was really cool! I'm sorry for those who are losing their American Girl store because of this.
