According to various surveys that track the popularity of what children want for the holidays, American Girl dolls have tied with apparel for seventh place in the most wanted items for girls this holiday season, ahead of Disney-branded merchandise and baby dolls. Dolls in general are in second place, with Barbie being the top brand this year.
