It’s finally here! New Historical Character items, for both more recent characters and legacy Pleasant Company characters, have arrived in American Girl stores!
I’m not able to get to a store for a while, since I’m
moving out of my Nashville dorm right now for the summer and Charlotte’s store has closed, but luckily, @AGDollAndAGirl and @SonnetXGabriela on Instagram both kindly let me share their photos of the new items! Thank you to you both!
First, a Collector Series reproduction of Addy’s School Outfit, with an Addy Learns A Lesson paperback book, has released for $55.
Then, a Collector Series reproduction of Kirsten’s School Outfit, with a paperback copy of Kirsten Learns A Lesson, has released for $55.
The last Collector Series reproduction is of Samantha’s Birthday Outfit, with a copy of Happy Birthday, Samantha. It costs $55.
Now, let’s move on to the newer historicals!
Nanea has a new floral dress and first aid kit. The dress is $36 and the first aid kit is $44.
Melody has a new salon chair, accessories and outfit. The salon outfit costs $36, the accessories cost $44, and the chair costs $150.
Lastly, Maryellen has a 2-in-1 outfit and an oven playset. The outfit costs $36 and the oven costs $125.

I really appreciate how the brand continues to celebrate diverse stories from different timelines, and it’s refreshing to see such attention to detail in the dolls and their narratives. Did anyone else notice that Maryellen, Melody, and Nanea’s face mold were changed? I compared teh new images with my dolls and they definitely feel different but maybe that’s just me…

Finally it's been a while since there have been any releases. I'm so glad there are now new stuff for the historicals. Samantha's birthday outfit, and Kirsten and Addy's school outfits are back.
I really love Maryellen's 2-in-1 outfit with all the lemon print and her vintage oven with the vegetables and cans. I especially love the green bell peppers, butters, and red tomatoes.
I also love Melody's salon outfit and the salon chair. This is probably a reference to her Cousin Tish who opens a new hair salon when Val's family moved to Detroit.
Nanea's floral dress looks nice, and she is getting a first aid kit set. In Nanea's stories, she and her classmates learn about first aid…
