American Girl of the Year 2027 Author Announced

The author of the Girl of the Year 2027 books has been announced by American Girl: Megan Wagner Lloyd.
Megan mostly writes graphic novels, but has written prose too. She grew up with the American Girl books and has written stories relating to issues like allergies, growing up in a large family, and moving across the country.
We might get a hint as to what the next Gitl of the Year might be interested in. She might have allergies.
I wonder if she would have a connection to another American Girl character like how Lila did with McKenna and how Raquel did with Samantha. Given the fact that Megan Lloyd herself was an American Girl fan I can see this happening.
I also feel like Fiona Davis should be attending the meeting as well. I emailed her once and she believes we might get an excerpt of Samantha: The Next Chapter but she is not sure when. The book cover for Samantha’s adult novel has been updated to add borders similar to the Pleasant Company central books…
