American Girl Personalized Video Messages

American Girl said on their website that "personalized video messages" are coming soon on their website. These will feature animated characters similar to the characters used on their YouTube videos and can be ordered for birthdays, holidays and other occasions.
Personally, I don't think this is a good idea. I'm not a fan of American Girl trying to push Truly Me dolls and YouTube characters when they have tons of dolls with actual storylines they can use for content. (Also, the animation isn't the greatest.) This will probably go away in a year or two like the gift boxes did, to be honest, but we'll see what happens...
Great! I frequently speak with my folks via video calls. Since we are geographically separated, this is the only means of communication. Although it is quite easy, you must select a high-quality provider for video transmission, like wave.video/multi-streaming I've read about Wave video chat at this link and like to use it, therefore I haven't looked for other comparable services in a while. Because of its straightforward functioning and user design, I prefer it over Skype much more.
Ngl when I first saw this, I thought it was CREEPY (and I still do). $20 for something that looks like THIS!? No.. just no 😭
It looks rather tacky and it just goes to show how AG has strayed beyond the advocacy Pleasant Rowland originally envisioned.
As a long-time AG fan who would do anything to help the company:

As someone who thinks it’s ridiculous when people say AG dolls are creepy, I can conform this Is creepy. I feel like I would send this to someone to scare them…😅
