American Girl’s 40th Annivesary Begins!

A new year has begun, and with it, the 40th anniversary of the American Girl doll! American Girl posted a group photo of the dolls currently available to purchase, as well as a 40th anniversary logo.

Honestly, I wish they would expand the historical collections they have. Some of them (especially the ones of color) are sorely neglected.

I'm scared for them to bring felicity back. Especially because the abridged books are obsessed with erasing history. Felicity's history as a slave owner needs to be addressed. The fandom is weird about Felicity in general....

i hope lissie will return! and minis for the historicals that never got one! they don't seem to be popular but ag wouldn't make mini doll books for just one video right? ;) (at least i hope not)

I have mixed feelings about her returning. for one thing, American Girl has abridged the books. I don't want a sanitized erasure of the fact that her family are slave owners, among other issues I have with the fandom and their approach to Felicity.
