"Meet Daisy Davenport, our 2027 Girl of the Year™! She’s ready for a great summer full of soccer, best-friend time, and sleepaway camp. Daisy is the star of her soccer team and rarely sits still unless it’s to play guitar. She’s super excited to go to the same summer camp that her mom attended, Camp Gowonagin, and enjoy all the camp activities, from canoeing to the ropes course. Even better, her best friend Callie is going, too!

But when Daisy goes to camp, she finds herself unexpectedly afraid of the dark, missing home, and dealing with problems between her cabinmates. When the camp-wide competition is at risk, can Daisy and her friends rally together and play as a team?"

According to press releases, Callie gets injured and can't come to camp, leaving Daisy alone.

The suggestions from this name generator feel more natural than many other naming tools I’ve tested. A few of them were actually worth keeping.

Im going to guess she's possibly related to molly seeing as she's attending the same camp she did

Wait... if she's a descendant of Molly and Raquel is a descendant of Samantha... will our next GotY be a descendant of Kirsten? And maybe part Native?

I was thinking the same thing about Girl of the Year 2028 possibly being a descendant of Kirsten! Having a part-indigenous American Girl of he Year would be SOOOOOOO COOL!!!!

This sounds funny, but I like that we actually have someone her age afraid of the dark. Typically, they feel guilty about it, going, "I'm too old for this! This is 2-year-olds' problem! I'm too big!" but it's real, and it can be overcome. ❤️

I used to be afraid of the dark until I was about twenty-one or twenty-two. I still don't like sleeping in the dark and sleep with multiple lights in my room, One time when I was camping when I was seventeen, I lost track of my dad (We were alone.) at night and it freaked me out, so I went inside my tent and called my mom and we talked until my dad found me. He was afraid someone harm me and I was afraid that something like that would happen to me as well. But I was fine, other than being scared crudless out of my mind and I think that my dad was as well. Point is, no…
