In 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Americans everywhere took to the streets to demand justice for the Black community in the wake of several murders of Black people at the hands of the po
American Girl is having a St. Patrick's Day sale! Now until March 15, most items online are 20% off, with the usual exclusions. But that's not all! American Girl is also having limited time deals on s
My most favorite item is Claudie's Christmas Accessories. It has the cute Velveteen Rabbit. I love that story and I love bunnies, which are my most favorite animals. I was born in the Year of the Rabbit.
I also love the cookies from Angelo's Bakery. The yoyo and the holiday postcard to Claudie's grandmother in Georgia look cute too. The postcard is also educational because it shows in the top right corner a vintage stamp from Claudie's time.
I feel like this is not a good sign. Maybe they are retiring Claudie? Her winter coat is my most favorite of Claudie's outfits in her collection and is one of the few historically accurate outfits of Claudie's. I'm guessing a lot of people love her winter outfit which is probably the most popular outfit in Claudie's collection. I'm not fond her dance outfit because I'm not a huge fan of magenta. Some of her outfits are not what a girl Claudie's age would have worn in the 1920's. In fact, most women in the 1920's did not dress up like this. These outfits were worn by Flappers and showgirls.
Now that you pointed this out, I just realized that it has now been almost three years since Claudie's release. I'm sure she was popular, but American Girl terribly neglected her. New outfits would be great! We definitely should have a Christmas outfit, a birthday outfit, a school outfit, and any historically accurate outfits like American Girl used to have with the historicals. It would be nice if Marie-Grace, Cecile, and Caroline were to make a comeback just like Kirsten.
