Samantha was my first favorite! Happy Birthday, Samantha! was the second American Girl book I ever read. I own four out of her six books (except Samantha Learns a Lesson and Samantha Saves the Day) and her first four mysteries. I also have Samantha's Just for Fun activity book and Nellie's Promise (I own three of the Best Friend books).
About the rumor regarding Summer McKinny, I honestly don't believe that the rumor that Summer is going to be a direct descendant of Samantha is true. We will just have to wait and see in September. I don't think they will be linking a historical character with a Girl of the Year character. They will only link two Girl of…
