Well, that was quick. American Girl officially confirmed that Just Like You 86 has been retired, despite only debuting last year. This is the fastest Just Like You retirement in the line's history.

there's a theory on tumblr that she was retired because corinne could have purple hair! (like how 46 was retired just before gabby's release). it's especially interesting since 86 is still so popular!

Which would make sense if Corrine was supposed to be anything other than asian. I don't understand why they would replace a hispanic/latina with an asian though. I'm not a big fan of the colored hair dolls, but 86 wasn't so over the top bright that I kind of liked her. Oh well.

😥 I really liked the darker purple hair. The CYO purple seems a lot lighter so I can't even make a look alike.
