Mattel Gets New CEO

Conde Nast CEO Roger Lynch will be taking over as CEO of Mattel, affective Friday. He is replacing Ynon Kreiz, who has served as Mattel's CEO for the past 8 years. This follows a leadership change at American Girl as a whole, where former Head of American Girl Jamie Cygielman left the company, being replaced with Pamela Velarde.

According to Deadline, before leading the parent company of Vogue and the New Yorker, Lynch was CEO of music streamer Pandora and the founding chief exec of Sling TV, the streaming pay-TV provider launched a decade ago by Dish Network.

Lynch said during his time on Mattel’s board, he came to admire its “brands, its talented people, and unique culture. I am especially grateful to Ynon for his many years of outstanding leadership and service to the company.”
