New American Girl Trademark: Dylan Gold (Girl of the Year 2028?)

A new name was trademarked recently for American Girl: Dylan Gold! There is speculation that she will be 2028’s Girl of the Year - we’ll have to wait and see, but my inklings are feeling that way!
I’m a little sad this means that we’re most likely not getting a new Historical for the foreseeable future, but am excited to learn more about Dylan!

I don't think Dylan is girl of the year. When looking at Daisy and Raquel's trademarks, it is under the category of dolls, doll clothing, doll accessories etc. Dylan's copyright covers toys, games, and playthings so I think the trademark is for something else
Why is everyone assuming it is a girl? Dylan is most commonly used as a boy name?
i think the most likely outcome for this name is a GOTY character. GOTY is the only line from AG that has consistent annual releases and the historical line doesn't have that. i feel like the historical line is on sort of a "hiatus" right now (for lack of a better term lol) at least for new characters. yes they have been releasing new historical themed items for the anniversary and new outfits/accessories for a couple characters (namely Courtney and possibly Claudie in the future), and re-releasing older dolls and items but honestly, i can't really picture them releasing any new characters at least for the next few years. we all know that historicals are not their best selling line…
i was wondering when you'd report on this! it'll be so interesting to have a goty with a more guy-ish name! i hope she's jewish and black! (since when she comes out in 2027 it'll be a decade since gabby!) :D
