Now that the American Girl operations have been folded into Mattel as a whole, it's gotten harder to find out their financial information (like sales going up or down) than before. Mattel, for their second quarter, did mention that dolls sales declined 2%, but these declines were due to lower Barbie and Disney Princess/Frozen sales, not American Girl. So we have no clue what happened with AG this quarter!

I have a feeling sales may have been lower then expected I've noticed mattel has been cutting back and doing smaller releases for ag so I'm thinking they ate trying to cut their losses a bit by releasing smaller releases so people ate more likely to buy what's available and they don't end up with so much leftover merchandise. It's either that or the factories mattel is ordering from can't really do big releases anymore which us also possible because there seems to be supply issues on materials right now in China. A lit of people think there will be a collector doll this year but I kind of have doubts about that. Last year they released 6 collector dolls…
This is off topic, but I wonder if AG will release Team USA sets like they did for the last Olympics. But if they were going to, I feel like they would've been released already since the opening ceremony is the 26th . . . But anyway, if there were new Team USA sets, I would love that!
Hey, as long as they're not saying that AG is dragging down their sales, I'll take it as a win.
Kind of off-subject, but the name Senona has been trademarked and it is apparently a Spanish name. She could be Girl of the Year 2026 and might be Latina.
I don’t know if American Girl folding into Mattel was such a good idea. I wonder if there could be separate place to discover American Girl, Disney Princess, Barbie, and Frozen sales.
