I've bought 3 dolls from Amazon on sale in the $80 range, and they all had boxes, were packed well, and were beautiful with no flaws. If you do get a lemon, Amazon has a really good return policy. I've heard of more people receiving flawed dolls when ordering directly from the AG site than I have from Amazon.
Please! You are speculating about something that somebody said in a comment on Amazon. I have purchased a total of nine Truly Me dolls from Amazon in the last two months that were on sale, 7 were from the 3rd party seller Shopsalonbeauty, and two directly from Amazon. They have all been packed well and came in their original boxes with no signs having having been previously removed or being seconds. You can see where the doll is coming from by looking at the seller and shipping from information on the page. Right now a large percentage of them are sold by and shipped from Amazon. honestly, if the doll isn't new in box, yet comes from ag officially... how would the doll even come? (fact check me on this, I'm not sure if the doll is from ag or a third party seller.) wrapped in plastic? bubble wrap? at that point, it doesn't seem to be too professional. i'd rather buy a doll straight from ag that's guaranteed to be in good condition. if you don't package the dolls correctly, they're subject to damage during shipping!! not a smart move. The third party sellers may not come with boxes. If you order from Amazon directly, it should come with a box. I believe only Corinne, Truly Me #91 and #112 are Amazon sales that are being sold and shipped by Amazon (always double check). The other sales are just third party sellers that listed their item as "new" on Amazon.
