  • What time period...

Hi. Today, I am going to analyze the names that AG trademarked and hasn't used (as of October 30, 2015) and figure out what time periods they were popular in. Let's see the names: Barbara Emerson Camille Gabriela Melody Ellison Ok, now I am going to go on Baby Name Wizard's Baby Name Voyager and find the answers. I will list the years that are avalible on the website that AG never did. Barbara (Most likely 1920's doll, least likely GOTY) 1880- #135 1890- #154 1920- #18 1960- #21 1980- #155 1990- #320 2013 or 2014- #838 in 2013 Emerson (Most likely GOTY, least likely BeForever for any year) 1880- NA 1890- NA 1920- NA 1960- NA 1980- NA 1990- NA 2013 or 2014- #211 in 2013 Camille (Most likely GOTY, least likely 1880 BeForever) 1880- #607 1890- #522 1920- #568 1960- #419 1980- #350 1990- #287 2013 or 2014- #243 in 2013 Gabriela (Most likely 90's doll or GOTY, least likely BeForevers 1880-1920) 1880- NA 1890- NA 1920- NA 1960- #984 1980- #320 1990- #124 2013 or 2014- #221 Melody (Most likely 60's doll or GOTY, least likely BeForevers 1880-1920) 1880- NA 1890- NA 1920- NA 1960- #188 1980- #249 1990- #364 2013 or 2014- #171 American Girl also trademarked Willa, Ashlyn and Kendall as toys, games and playthings. They could be trademarked as dolls in the future, so let's do them too! Willa (Most likely 1920's doll or 1890's doll, least likely 1960-1990 BeForever) 1880- #427 1890- #380 1920- #301 1960- NA 1980- NA 1990- NA 2013 or 2014- #691 Ashlyn (Most Likely GOTY, Least Likely Beforevers 1880-1960) 1880- NA 1890- NA 1920- NA 1960- NA 1980- #996 1990- #265 2013 or 2014- #254 Kendall (Most likely GOTY) 1880- NA 1890- NA 1920- NA 1960- NA 1980- #495 1990- #230 2013 or 2014- #130

  • The Special Holiday Dress!

Every year since 2013, American Girl has released a store-exclusive holiday dress in November. It's always super fancy, and super expensive. Last year's dress, the Ruby Ball Gown Set, cost a whopping $72! But 21 weeks ago, @agupdatenews found a fancy purple ball gown. Turns out, with a shawl, white sandals and a headband, it's the store-exclusive holiday dress! @agupdatenews has pictures of the gown and shoes, but no shawl and headband as of today.

  • A NEW BED?

Truly Me might be getting a new bed set soon! You must think I'm crazy, since the current bed came out last year and the old one lasted three years. But, a mystery bed was found at the new temporary store in San Diego! But, the bedding looks like the bedding for the Dreamy Daybed (2011-2014), but with different colors! And the bed itself doesn't look to be AG quality! Is it... a prototype? We'll find out on January 1. (photo credit to @agstation on Instagram)

  • Caroline at Costco?

Yep, you've heard me right. Costco sells AG pets, mini dolls, gift cards and even Bitty Baby bundles. But mid-November, Caroline is going to be sold at Costco! You must be screaming and freaking out in sadness. Don't worry, it's only until stock runs out. She is going to be bundled with her holiday outfit at a price of $99.99! All of the Costco stores in America (sorry, no Caroline in Canada) will get 84 dolls. This is your last chance to buy Caroline before she retires, so head to your local Costco store mid-November!

  • Grace

Last night, Grace Thomas sold out on the American Girl website. It said, “No longer avalible”, but today she’s back in stock. Kind of like Caroline a few months ago! Thank goodness it was just a glitch. Tons of parents would get mad at AG for sure! Sydney
