AMERICAN GIRL TRIVIA: Maryellen has been the only American Girl doll to date to have some form of disability. I loved that fact so much that I screamed when they mentioned her polio on the first page of her book!

COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: Do any of your dolls have disabilities?

MY ANSWER: Yes! Marisol and April are diabetic, Lindsey has paralysis in her legs, Sydney has Asperger's and Maryellen has spina bifida (a more modern form of polio).
