Name: Chloe Age: 11 Medical Condition: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Wish: “I wish to go to the American Girl® Place in New York City”

Chloe is an active and creative 11-year-old, who loves horseback riding, playing scrabble, and listening to music. Chloe was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and after everything she and her family had been through during her treatment, they needed the uplifting magic of a wish-come-true.

Chloe loves the American Girl Dolls and she wished to visit the famous American Girl Place in New York City. She was intrigued by the unique stories and personalities of each doll and wanted to see them in person.

Chloe's trip began with lots of special treatment and surprises, including a limo ride to the airport and special attention from the WestJet crew. Once in New York City, Chloe felt like royalty when the hotel doorman greeted her as “Princess Chloe”.

The highlight of the trip was the day spent at the American Girl Doll Store. Chloe was especially interested in the 1860s section, and had fun as she explored all of the dolls, their stories, and the activities for styling their hair and clothes.

When it came time for her to choose a new doll for herself, Chloe chose Kaya, a Native American doll. She learned that Kaya lived in 1764, and liked horses (just like Chloe). This doll's story captured Chloe’s heart and she knew she wanted to take her home.

Chloe and her family visited many iconic sites in the city, including the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Empire State Building and Radio City Music Hall. Chloe loves taking photos and captured all of her incredible new memories on her camera.

Chloe's mom says the happiest moment of the trip was seeing Chloe’s excitement as her wish came true and as she chose her favourite doll.
