American Girl Claudie Wells Hardcover Keepsake Book

American Girl's website has confirmed the name of the new American Girl Historical, Claudie Wells, as well as the author, Brit Bennett. However, in the New York store event advertisement they used to do so, they announced that Claudie's book will have an option to be a "keepsake hardcover" book!

During the Pleasant Company era, American Girl historical books came in hardcover editions. The school I went to from kindergarten to fourth grade had the hardcovers, such as these:

It is a really nice touch that American Girl is paying tribute to their roots like this. Now, I just hope we can learn more about Claudie soon!
