Mattel Gets License for Kpop Demon Hunters - AG Dolls In Future?

Mattel has announced that they have gotten the rights to make dolls based on the Netflix animated movie Kpop Demon Hunters, which was an unexpected smash hit this summer. Seeing as American Girl’s target demographic loved this movie, I am curious - does this mean we’ll get Kpop Demon Hunters dolls in the future? I’ve seen some really good customs of the 3 main leads - Rumi, Mira and Zoey - so I’m sure that if American Girl did them, they’d look just as cool. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens!
This update is genuinely exciting! Kpop Demon Hunters becoming such a big hit really opened the door for all kinds of cool merch, so seeing Mattel secure the license feels like a big step forward. The characters—Rumi, Mira, and Zoey—already have such strong designs and personalities that they’d translate perfectly into AG-style dolls. Fans are clearly ready too; I even came across some amazing custom versions on imgerr , and they show just how great these dolls could look if American Girl decided to make them. With the movie’s popularity and the younger audience loving it, the chances definitely feel higher now. All we can do is wait and hope the official versions become a reality!
