Rubies Costumes revealed their new American Girl costumes! In kids sizes, there are Maryellen, Melody, Julie and Courtney costumes, and in adult sizes, there is Samantha, Kirsten, Molly and Kit costumes.

This is licensed merch, so it would be officially licensed by AG for Rubie's Costumes to produce. In other words, AG is giving their blessing for these costumes in exchange for a portion of the profits. Usually officially licensed merch is higher quality because the licensor (AG in this case) has to give the OK on product quality and accuracy to the characters before they can go ahead with production.

originally I thought all was sold out but I found one site had Kirsten and Julie in stock so I ordered Kirsten in Small for my daugthers projects next year. she has to read a book and dress as a character from it, plus around thanksgiving she can use it because it looks pilgrim ish to me, they dress up for their school feast :)
