American Girl has released their advent calendar for this year: paper dolls of EVERY single Historical Character, including the Best Friends, Cecile, Marie-Grace and Caroline, who AG usually forgets about!

It's time to pick the next Doll of the Month - who will it be - Grace Thomas, Lindsey Bergman or Kavi Sharma?

From now until Sunday, American Girl is offering 4x points for AG Rewards members who buy dolls. The Disney dolls and non-18 inch dolls are the only exclusions - everyone else is included!

In addition to the Frozen collector dolls now being available for general sale, a playline version of the Rapunzel doll from last year is now available, as well as painting and hair accessories.

Today, the pre-order period for the new American Girl Frozen dolls have opened to all AG Rewards members for today only!

Today, Berry members have the exclusive chance to pre-order Disney Frozen limited edition dolls on American Girl’s website. They will begin shipping on September 6th and cost $310 each.

I was requested to do a comparison of some of the Truly Me dolls that released earlier this year, Truly Me 125 and 126, to Isabel and Nicki, who have similar hair and eye colors. So here it is! Isabel has light green eyes, while 125 has darker hazel eyes, and 125 has longer, curlier hair. Isabel also has the Joss mold, while 125 has the Josefina mold. Nicki has light blue eyes, while 126 has darker blue eyes, and 126 also has longer, curlier hair, with no blond highlights. Nicki also has the Joss mold, while 126 has the Classic mold.

Wait - a post about Girl of the Year 2015 Grace Thomas in 2024? And it's not a Doll of the Month post? Yes. Because after what I've seen on social media lately, I think it's safe to say Grace is having a bit of a moment. A few days ago, American Girl posted this on Instagram, in celebration of the Paris Olympics: I thought it was cool, but it was just an isolated moment... or so I thought... until LiviesHQ, the official Olivia Rodrigo (who played Grace in her movie) fan club, posted this in a carousel of prominent women... GRACE IS EVERYWHERE, GUYS! AND IT'S NOT EVEN 2015!!! Next up for Grace? The release of Summer McKinny in 2 months, who has some similar themes in her story!

This was the worst day ever for American Girl to trademark a future doll name - I had surgery again! Luckily, Kananiandlindsey emailed me to tell me American Girl trademarked the name ‘Senona’ in dolls. I immediately went to the name origin tracker, and Senona is a Spanish name that means “lively”, meaning that Senona will most likely be our 3rd Latina Girl of the Year after Marisol in 2005 and Luciana in 2018!

I wanted to share with you guys some exciting personal news: I made it onto the Diversability Disability Impact List for 2024 because of my filmmaking and writing! Only 30 people with disabilities were selected worldwide, and since my writing and filmmaking journey started with my love of American Girl, I figured I'd tell you guys this exciting accomplishment! "Sydney Jean Satalino is a filmmaker who has been active in the industry since she was 9 years old, with her first credit being a music video directed by Michael Jackson’s former vocal coach. At the age of 11, she won her first film festival award, and in 2020, she released an American Girl doll stopmotion entitled Rebelle, with a neurodivergent and mentally disabled lead character. In early 2022, the Rebelle concept went viral on TikTok promoting the creation of an expanded live-action movie, with continued success on the platform and on Instagram throughout 2023 and 2024, where her videos have reached a combined total of 60 million viewers and over 260,000 followers. She is currently writing a novel based on her Rebelle screenplay in hopes of getting a movie deal. Her work has benefited the disability community by providing representation for people that often don’t get positive representation in media, and by providing an actually autistic voice in the world of film."
