American Girl of the Year 2023 Kavi Doll Officially Retired

Today (or yesterday - sorry, I didn't check GOTY stock yesterday!), the Kavi doll has sold out, officially retiring her a year and 11 months after her release at the end of December 2022.
As Kavi has retired before Corinne, this is the first time in American Girl history where a Girl of the Year from a year after another Girl of the Year has retired. Corinne is still available, nearly 3 years after her release.

Lots of people have complaints about Kavi's meet outfit just like Summer's meet outfit. I actually like Kavi's meet, but I love Corinne and Lila's meets better. Despite the criticisms about her meet outfit, Kavi was able to sell out before Corinne.
American Girl did not promote her much and pretty much neglected her when she was Girl of the Year. Remember her novel was the first thing to sell out! This tells us that Kavi was more popular than most people thought. If this was the case, then they should have focused on Kavi, as well as the historicals, if they wanted to generate more revenue (like give Kavi more items and outfits). I just checked the American Girl website, and the store in Charlotte still has the Kavi doll.
