Today, my sister surprised me with a brand-new Nanea doll to keep in my dorm! I named her Xochitl (after the Marvel actress Xochitl Gomez), and I put her in my dorm already! I got word of an exciting AG event happening in LA this week - can't wait to share more details when my source tells me to! ;)

I have just heard a rumor that the American Girl historical line will be getting "special attention" in the form of new releases this year - if this is true, I'd be so happy! I really hope they can get more things, as the historical releases were lacking for older characters last year. BTW: Today's my birthday! I'm 19 today and I still love American Girl :)

Here's a peek at some new American Girl items for Valentine's Day and the fourth new Truly Me doll!

This is a bit of a sillier post than usual, I guess, but I thought it would be interesting to share. For the last three months, I have been attending college in person in Nashville, and instead of having my army of over a hundred dolls nearby at all times, I've had to settle for one doll at a time most times (unless I'm on break). But I thought it would be interesting if I listed what dolls I brought to college and why so far! September 2023: Well, I wasn't really in college back in September - if some of you may recall, I was away at therapy and my sister was running the blog for me at the beginning. But I had to bring a doll! I brought Kavi, because the plan was that because Lila was supposed to release when I was still in the therapy program, AG would send a Lila to where I was staying. I thought it would be nice for Kavi and Lila to meet - but even though I ended up coming home early - a few days before Lila debuted - Lila still got to meet Kavi! October 2023: My first real week at college was right after Lila came out - so of course I had to bring her! I had her around from my first week in college up until Thanksgiving break. December 2023: In the stretch between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I decided to bring Nicki Hoffman. Over Thanksgiving break, I was lucky enough to catch American Girl: Live in Concert, and since Madison, the main character in the concert, owned a Nicki Hoffman doll, I figured it would be cool to bring her! January 2024: Kavi's pretty lucky, because after winter break, I brought her back to college with me after spending therapy with me! Since I already brought Lila in October, I figured I'd bring Kavi since her year was officially over after being cut short with Lila's release. So, yeah! That's who I've brought to college so far! The next time I'm coming back home is in mid-February, and I can't wait to see my other dolls and choose who's coming back to the dorm with me then!

My bad, AGDN readers. When I saw a picture of one of the new Truly Me dolls on Instagram, I falsely assumed it was a leak. But then, I saw someone else post it this morning - and the source was AG's stock images - so it IS safe to post! So here she is! Here's one of the newest American Girl Truly Me dolls!

As the rumors are saying, there will be at least 4 new Truly Me dolls released soon. The first three have had at least rumors of their appearance circulate, with one actually appearing in promo photos for the American Girl Pet Daycare and Spa. But while thinking about their rumored appearances in class, I was wondering - what does the last one even look like? We have a confirmed 88 rework, a rumored medium-skinned Josefina mold, a rumored dark-skinned Josefina mold - and then, a theory hit me. A natural hair colored (like blond or brown or red) light-skinned doll in either the Marie-Grace, Joss or even Jess mold was missing from that list. So maybe ... that could be the last new Truly Me? Who knows, but I figured I'd share!

Usually, if a Girl of the Year had a book release after their debut, then more things would accompany it. During the few years Girls of the Year had three books, with one debuting later, from Grace to Luciana, new things always came with a new book, and the same happened with Kavi, who got her Wicked items released around the same time the book released. However, Lila's book Lila Goes for Gold released last week - and with no new items in sight, AG fans are wondering when she will actually get new things. Don't worry, AGDN readers - I have a theory. Sure, Kavi, Isabel and Nicki all got new things when their books came out, but my theory's all in the timing. Six months after Kavi's release at the end of December 2022, Kavi's Wicked items released in June 2023. Seven months after Isabel and Nicki's release in February 2023, they got new things in September 2023. If the six-or-seven-months timeline for new products holds true for Lila, we should see her new items in April 2024 or May 2024. What do you all think?

Now that 2023 has given way to 2024, an item from Kavi Sharma's collection actually sold out. Most of you guys are probably thinking it would be either her Backstage set or her Wicked costumes. Nope! It's actually her book - It's Showtime, Kavi. You see, American Girl? PEOPLE WANT TO READ THE BOOKS! MAKE MORE BOOKS!
