One year ago today, My American Girl was relaunched as Truly Me! I still can't believe it's been a year of Truly Me- it feels like yesterday my sister accidentally called them "Just Like You". Also, in related news, one year ago today I got Grace's French Bakery after months of waiting! Such a funny coincidence. To celebrate the EOG tests (that stands for End Of Grade Test for all of you people who don't live in North Carolina) being next week and after the EOG tests, the school year is pretty much over, I am doing 5 fun facts about American Girl! 1- In Europe and Australia, McKenna Shoots For The Stars was released as Shooting For The Stars. Maybe because AG dolls weren't popular in Europe and Australia at the time? They sure are now. 2- Lindsey lasted a year and a half. 3- Excluding the Girl of the Year dolls, Cecile and Marie-Grace were the shortest available dolls ever with 2 years, 11 months and 29 days of availability, beating out Caroline's 3 years, 3 months and 14 days. 4- Grace's movie was only shown on television in Canada, a first for American Girl. 5- The "new" Pomeranian Puppy was first released in 2014 as a Costco exclusive, along with a few other pets. Maybe they will become available later? So, that's it!

American Girl is testing their dolls to see if they could sell them for $98 in certain areas of the country. I am so happy! My reaction is above QUESTION OF THE POST: Go to americangirl.com and check if dolls are $98 in your town. Are they $98 or $115? MY ANSWER: Shoot! They are $115 in Charlotte.

Today is Kit's Birthday! She was born this day in 1923, which makes her 93 today. In her books, her Aunt Millie comes to visit and throws Kit a penny-pincher party. What are you doing for Kit's birthday? I'm filming Different with her- of course I can work and celebrate at the same time!

I found a pair of shorts on cn_4222's eBay account! They are beautiful shorts and I am planning on getting them. They are paired with the tank top from the 2-in-1 Running Outfit in the photos. Here they are! The shorts are black with red and blue trim. It looks like something my mom would wear to 9 Round (a boxing gym she likes to go to). The shorts has "US" on them. I love these shorts! Let's admit it, I'm crazy to put my computer in the ring because it's 2016 and we know next-to-nothing about Tenney Grant (GOTY 2017). But I think it's a good idea because I can look back at this post when it's 2018 and see if I was accurate or not. So, this post is all about Girl Of The Year 2018! We do not know her name yet, but here is my sort of guesses for her. I think her books will be written by Mary Casanova, because she has written the books for Jess (2006), Chrissa (2009), McKenna (2012) and Grace (2015). If you do the math, that is every three years. 2018 will mark it as being 3 years since 2015 (funny to think about because I was just accidentally writing the year as 2015 a couple of weeks ago), so I think it would just be common sense for that to happen. Speaking of patterns, I made a few collages of all of the GOTYs for the past 10 years in 2018 with even-numbered years. As this graph suggests, all of the even-numbered year GOTYs have tended to have hazel eyes, with the exception of McKenna. If we decide to include McKenna and go out on a limb and say that GOTY '18 will have blue eyes, they tend to have fair colored eyes. Though there is a 20 percent chance of GOTY '18 having blue eyes. The next (and final) collage has the even numbered yeared GOTY's hair colors. They normally range from red to blonde, but for non-leap even years, they are normally blond, while leap years are normally in the caramel range. Since this year (2016 if you are reading this in another year) was a leap year, she will most likely have blond hair, And for the skin tone, it is light to olive. I'm going out on a limb and shouting "MEDIUM SKIN!", but that might be impossible considering Tenney is African-American. There is still a chance. Also, for molds, there are two choices considering the collage: Classic or Josefina. I'm going with Classic because Grace and Lea both have the Josefina mold, and Tenney will most likely have the Sonali mold. But like I said, there is still a chance. Sorry that I'm a few days late, but I don't really like the Wellie Wishers, but they are growing on me. I might get the redhead to act as Maryellen's little sister, Beverly. There are Wellie Wisher celebration events at American Girl stores starting June 24. Maybe this means that Melody won't get released until July or August. Please, American Girl, release her before July 22, because that's my diabetes diagnosis anniversary! Can I get her early, please? "Discover the world of the WellieWishers: five sweet and silly friends who wish to do good deeds. At this free event, your girl will learn about the new characters, enjoy hands-on crafts, go on a scavenger hunt, and decorate her own cookie to eat! I found these pajamas on the f106884 eBay account. These pajamas are inspired by the Pomeranian Puppy that was debuted in 2014 as a Costco exclusive and released a couple of weeks ago in stores and online. The top is green and has a picture of the Pomeranian puppy. The pants are pawprint and have elastic at the end. The slippers have a embroidered Pomeranian face on them. These are a set of elastic hairbands. I love everything about the outfit except for the slippers. Once it's out, I'll buy the set, lose one slipper (then it would become useless), and then YAY!
