American Girl revealed the actress who will play Melody in her movie (no word on if it's full length, short or Amazon video) via a YouTube video today! And the lucky girl is..... THAT GIRL! I didn't get her name because she spoke quietly, but her name started with a S. But still, that girl will play Melody! COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: If you could be in one movie of your choice, what movie would it be? MY ANSWER: Lea To The Rescue as Lea! I was considering auditioning when the details leaked out, but I found out you needed an agent. Plus travel vaccines for South Africa. My hair and my eyes aren't that right (I could've wore a wig and contacts!), but my skin is just like Lea's because I play outside a lot and the sun made my skin tan. But, I'm also glad I didn't get the role because if I didn't go to the doctor's office that one fateful July day, I would've got sick and could've died from undiagnosed diabetes! P.S: 300th post on AGDN, whoo!

I found this shirt on f106684's eBay account. I love this shirt! I hope it's released next week, on June 23 (when Wellie Wishers comes out, they might as well release other stuff as well). It's movie day at school and you get to pick whatever movie you want to show to the class, no matter how it's rated! What movie do you pick? MY ANSWER: Big Hero 6! It would be a tie between that and Zootopia, but like, everyone in my old 5th grade class (I'm going into 6th grade next year) saw that movie.

Lea To The Rescue is out on DVD, Blu-ray, Netflix and DVD rental services like Redbox today! If you pre-ordered it on American Girl's website or Amazon, then your Lea To The Rescue DVD will come later this week (for American Girl people) or Thursday (for Amazon 2-day shipping lucky duckies). I watched this movie 2 weeks ago when it came out on Apple TV. I found some sandals on eBay. I know this is a funny way to start a post on a popular blog, but I really did find some sandals on eBay. It's called a leak. Here they are: The sandals are cute, but I don't know who would wear sandals with bows on them. Maybe, I don't know, a 5 year old? I won't buy these unless if they go on sale for $5 or less. I contacted Denise Lewis Patrick, the author of the Cecile series and the Melody series, about a interview on this blog. The public relations manager of American Girl, Susan Jevens, contacted me back and said that Denise will send me her answers sometime the week of June 12th, but she was willing to send me the Melody series books (including the 2 that aren't out yet) in the meantime so I could review them for no charge! With my parents' permission, I told her my address so that I could get the books, and they came today! I knew it was them when I saw the label. It was so cool, so I'll tell you what it said: SYDNEY JEAN AMERICAN GIRL DOLL NEWS 2** ******** **** LANE MARVIN, NC 28173 To prove I'm not lying, here's the photo I posted of them on Instagram: So, I read all three of them and I will share my opinions! NO ORDINARY SOUND- BOOK 1 Rating: 10 stars! Review: I loved Melody's character in this book! When I get the Melody doll when she releases, I am keeping her personality. I also loved everything else in the book- especially when Melody sees a way to connect with mean girl Diane (who, SPOILER ALERT, has a change of heart later in the book)! My other favorite part was the ending, but I won't spoil it, because I think I spilled too much spoiler tea (or water, because I don't drink tea!) Get this book now! When/if you get Melody, donate the copy that comes with the doll to a library if you want to get it now like I will! NEVER STOP SINGING- BOOK 2 Rating: 10 stars! Review: I am so honored to be the first American Girl fan to read this book, because it was amazing! I would rate more than 10 for this one, but I can't, sadly. I loved Melody's personality in this book too (she is an amazing character), and in this one she makes a big difference! In addition to her fixing up a playground like the descriptions leaked, she also organized a protest of a store who wouldn't let black shoppers in and so much more! Get it when it comes out! MUSIC IN MY HEART- JOURNEY BOOK Rating: 9.5 stars! Review: I am a big fan of Journey books, but I rated it a bit lower because it wasn't as engaging as some other Journey books (for example, Maryellen's) I am still honored to be the first AG fan to read it! The paths you can take are really cool, though, and like with every other book, Melody is awesome! I recommend this book unless you get bored easily. Then, you are good with the other 2 books. So, overall, I rate the series 9.9 stars! I can't wait to get the Melody doll! I will post more details on Never Stop Singing (characters that didn't appear in No Ordinary Sound, product-to-story relationships) tomorrow! Woah, all of the prototypes are for Julie these days. I found a prototype of Julie's meet sweater! It is purple instead of the yellow it is now. Here it is: I like it a bit better in purple, but the yellow suits Julie more. Maybe the yellow is more 70's. COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: Would you rather go to a million-story American Girl Store and buy the whole store or buy 3 dolls of your choice in one day? MY ANSWER: 3 dolls. Buying a whole store is unreasonable.

Oh, no! It's a perfectly awesome summer day and there's nothing to do. You've tried asking your mom or dad to go to the pool a billion times, but they say no each time. So, that means you are stuck in the house. Well, last summer I wasted a good half of my summer napping and in the bathroom, and that was until July 22. Then, I spent the rest of my summer moping about my new diabetes diagnosis, and it took a Disney World trip to realize that even though I had diabetes, I could still accomplish my dream of being a director. (Where Dreams Come True. Or is that Disneyland's slogan? Whatever.) When I returned from Disney and got to film, there was only two weeks of summer left. So that meant that only 2 out of the 10 weeks that I got for summer were spent wisely. That's a fifth, out of that WHOLE LONG SUMMER VACATION. So, today is the first day of this summer for me, so I made a list of ways to have a good summer if you are stuck in the house or just plain bored. -Film a stopmotion! (There’s always time for filming.) -Play outside if it’s under 90 degrees -Watch a movie with your pet (if your pet is something like a fish, or you don't have any, just watch it with your doll) -Play the Wii -Do a deep investigation to leak Tenney (GOTY 2017) -Edit your stopmotion! (There’s always time for editing.) -Invite a friend over -Invent a new toy -Write a book (you can use createspace.com to publish it and you get to keep a percentage of the sales) -Donate toys to your local children's hospital -Play cards -Make something cool out of cardboard -Write an email -Make doll food out of clay or paper (or even Play-Doh!) -Write a movie script -Raise money for charity -Clean out the house for a garage sale -Have a garage sale -Reorginaise your doll clothes -Look on eBay to see what you can afford for doll stuff -Look on Nextdoor to see what you can afford for doll stuff -Invent something usefull -Read all of the AG books you have in one day -Clean up a old playhouse and make it “Club Fun!” -Do worksheets for your next grade (hey, you can never be too prepared for your next grade!) -Prank call American Girl -Make a online TV channel (go to worldtv.com to do that, it's free) -If all else fails, go to the pool. I had an amazing day today! I graduated elementary school, got a standing ovation (plus my friend Katie cried) on my graduation speech, and to top it all off- the real life Principal Smith from Different is leaving my old school! But, now, we need to get on with our last Hump Day Shoutout of the 2015-16 school year. (Of course there will be ones over the summer!) And the shoutout goes to...... MEDINA, OHIO! Today is Kirsten's birthday! She was born this day in 1845, which makes her 171 today! In Kirsten's books, Kirsten has to do chores after chores after chores leading to her birthday because her pregnant mother is sick. But when it seems like Kirsten's family forgot about her birthday, she gets rewarded for her hard work with a day of fun- and a surprise. What are you doing for Kirsten's birthday? I'm doing nothing because I don't have her. Even if I did have her, though, I wouldn't celebrate because today's my graduation from elementary school! I'm giving a speech to my class- wish me luck!
