For this week's Doll of the Week, I selected Summer's name! Summer's photo will be on the AGDN header for a week (January 22-January 28) I bought Summer on April 11, 2015 with my Christmas money. She is Truly Me #44. Summer is a punk-rocker by heart, and loves to be loud. She is best friends with Emily, Felicity and Kit- The Tomboys. She hates dresses and princesses so much that she often gets into fights with Ruthie. She is always listening to rock music and making loud noises. Summer is no-nonsense and has no time for time-wasters: including school. Summer also holds the school attendance record for not showing up, much to the disgust of her sister Ocean. Summer played the role of Sharon Adams in The 10 Year Old President (2015). She has also shown up in multiple episodes of AG Adventures (2014-present) and was a background doll in Different (2016) and Me, My Camera and Diabetes (2016-present). American Girl debuted a new Purchase-with-Purchase! It is called the Color Block Dress. I don't really like this outfit, but #26 looks so pretty in this! Drumroll, please.... American Girl raised over $340,000 for the World Wildlife Fund in 2017! HOORAY! I am so happy about this! I didn't have a art fair because I can't draw for my life, but I did buy the sloth and the sea turtle! Woohoo! AMERICAN GIRL TRIVIA: For 2007 and 2008, American Girl had Real Girl of the Year contests. Three girls who embodied the same positive values as the Girl of the Year that year recieved the GOTY's whole collection, a photo in the American Girl catalog, a feature in the then called Fun For Girls page and a special event at the nearest American Girl Place. A trustworthy source on Facebook confirmed this about Logan: -Logan will have brown hair -Logan will have either blue or green eyes -Logan will have the Play Loud shirt and flannel set as his meet outfit -Logan will have his mouth closed, so either the Kaya mold or a new one for him!
