American Girl is giving out rewards to AG Rewards customers who shop with AG this weekend. From now until March 11, you get a $15 reward when you spend $100 or more, a $20 reward when you spend $125 or more, and a $25 rewards when you spend $150 or more.

Mattel just had their investor presentation for AG for 2024 - here's what was announced! Building on the success of the Barbie premium doll that was released for pre-order last year, there will be more American Girl x Barbie products released this year. More collaborations with unspecified brands are in the works. As previously announced, Paramount Pictures is making an American Girl movie and AG's stores will continue to operate. And the biggest news of the presentation ... Girl of the Year 2025, rumored to be named Summer McKinny, will be released in September 2024! She will also have a animal theme, as hinted by this logo.

Thursday will mark one of my personal favorite days to be an American Girl doll blogger out of the entire year. Mattel is having their annual investor presentation, where they reveal what is happening with the company and news for their product lines, including American Girl. In years past, the WellieWishers line, the Create Your Own line, Kit's return, the early release of Lila, and the NFL collection were teased during these presentations, so I have a few predictions for what might be talked about on Thursday. I believe the historical line refresh will be a huge topic of discussion - after all, we have seen signs of it via Julie's new books and collections for legacy historical characters like Kaya, Melody and Rebecca selling out. We could also be hearing more about the Disney dolls - Ariel, Cinderella and Tiana have already proved to be big hits with long backorder dates, and more dolls have been teased for release later this year, including Frozen dolls. Do you think we're going to get our first look at them? The timeline of Girl of the Year 2025's release, as well as a first look at her logo, could also be possible. More collaborations will also be a possibility. As the Summer Olympics are this year, AG could be collaborating with Team USA again, as well as other brands. If Kirsten's items are returning, like it has been claimed, this would be a good place to make the announcement! Personally, I don't think we're going to be seeing any new historicals this year, as American Girl usually likes to take a few years off from new historical announcements after releasing a batch of them. I explained this around the time Isabel and Nicki released, but if there are to be a new historical release, I wouldn't expect it until 2025 the earliest. Which is next year - crazy to think about! A statistics website, Statista, just posted a survey detailing brand awareness for American Girl. Out of a sample size of 829 people, 71% knew of the American Girl brand, while it had a 33% popularity rating, 24% usage rating, 20% loyalty rating and 26% buzz rating. The survey was conducted in September 2023.

Today is Marie-Grace's birthday. She was born this day in 1843, which makes her 181 today!

American Girl recently added some of the Truly Me pets, mostly the ones released before 2022, to the Last Chance page. While American Girl has quite a few pets for Truly Me that were released in 2022 and beyond, I was wondering if this would mean that AG is releasing new pets soon. They did trademark some pet names last fall, after all... what do you think?

American Girl confirmed in an email to an American Girl customer that Kirsten is not coming back, like we originally believed, but select items from her collection will be returning.
