American Girl is rumored to be refreshing the historical lineup this year, and i have some quantity updates on a few historical items: Courtney's Bedroom Set is on limited quantities, as well as Courtney Changes The Game. Julie's Home Game Accessories and Accessories are on limited quantities. Melody's Recording Studio and Doo-Wop Dress Up Outfit are on limited quantities, as well as No Ordinary Sound. Taking Off, the second book in Maryellen's series, is on limited quantities. Nanea's Two-Piece Swimsuit and Luau Dress are on limited quantities. Claudie's Glitzy Sequin Gown and Capelet Outfit is on limited quantities. Kaya's Mare, Steps High, Trading Feast and Tule Mat and Mini Doll, as well as The Journey Begins, are on limited quantities.

I did some research, and there is another Clare Hutton who is a specialist in Irish literature, meaning Summer will most likely be Irish-American. Additionally, Clare is white, meaning the chance of Summer being African-American has effectively gone out the window, as AG usually has authors that share the racial identities of their characters.

Josefina is a Mexican girl who loves music, grows to love goats and dreams of one day being a healer like her aunt. She is the youngest of four siblings, but her life changes forever when her beloved Mama dies. She then goes on a journey of self-discovery and maturing, becoming more than just the baby of the family. Josefina was released in 1997 and cubed in 2019.

Okay, guys. I have a theory about the next Girl of the Year doll, rumored to be named Summer McKinny. So, we all saw that pawprint I posted a few days ago, right? Well, American Girl usually likes to put their Truly Me items on sale to clear them out if a Girl of the Year comes out with a similar interest. We saw this happen around last summer, when American Girl's horse items were put on clearance to make room for Lila, as well as the Gymnastics Set that had been available for 10 years prior to her release. American Girl's pet adoption boutique for Truly Me was just introduced a few years back, and it is currently on clearance - for a whopping 40% off, which is unheard of for a big ticket item. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Girl of the Year 2025 will have a pet adoption theme. And as a bonus, based on my appearance theories from September for her - here's some CYO mockups!

American Girl is giving out rewards to AG Rewards customers who shop with AG this weekend. From now until March 11, you get a $15 reward when you spend $100 or more, a $20 reward when you spend $125 or more, and a $25 rewards when you spend $150 or more.

Mattel just had their investor presentation for AG for 2024 - here's what was announced! Building on the success of the Barbie premium doll that was released for pre-order last year, there will be more American Girl x Barbie products released this year. More collaborations with unspecified brands are in the works. As previously announced, Paramount Pictures is making an American Girl movie and AG's stores will continue to operate. And the biggest news of the presentation ... Girl of the Year 2025, rumored to be named Summer McKinny, will be released in September 2024! She will also have a animal theme, as hinted by this logo.

Thursday will mark one of my personal favorite days to be an American Girl doll blogger out of the entire year. Mattel is having their annual investor presentation, where they reveal what is happening with the company and news for their product lines, including American Girl. In years past, the WellieWishers line, the Create Your Own line, Kit's return, the early release of Lila, and the NFL collection were teased during these presentations, so I have a few predictions for what might be talked about on Thursday. I believe the historical line refresh will be a huge topic of discussion - after all, we have seen signs of it via Julie's new books and collections for legacy historical characters like Kaya, Melody and Rebecca selling out. We could also be hearing more about the Disney dolls - Ariel, Cinderella and Tiana have already proved to be big hits with long backorder dates, and more dolls have been teased for release later this year, including Frozen dolls. Do you think we're going to get our first look at them? The timeline of Girl of the Year 2025's release, as well as a first look at her logo, could also be possible. More collaborations will also be a possibility. As the Summer Olympics are this year, AG could be collaborating with Team USA again, as well as other brands. If Kirsten's items are returning, like it has been claimed, this would be a good place to make the announcement! Personally, I don't think we're going to be seeing any new historicals this year, as American Girl usually likes to take a few years off from new historical announcements after releasing a batch of them. I explained this around the time Isabel and Nicki released, but if there are to be a new historical release, I wouldn't expect it until 2025 the earliest. Which is next year - crazy to think about!
