  • The New Temporary Store Locations Are....

American Girl is doing temporary stores again! I found out on several job-hiring sites. In addition to the temporary store in Indianapolis, Mattel is hiring employees for temporary stores in... (I will be putting a star symbol next to places that also got them last year) -Pittsburgh, PA- Ross Park Mall -King Of Prussia, PA- King Of Prussia Mall -Portland, OR*- -Detroit (Novi), MI- Twelve Oaks Mall That's all I could find. In addition to my Comment Discussion Question, I will be putting American Girl Trivia at the end of each post. AMERICAN GIRL TRIVIA: Lanie's e-mail provider in her books is 4natr.net. When you type in the domain name 4natr.net, it redirects to Mattel's official site. COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: Are you getting a store where you live? MY ANSWER: No, and I don't need one because I have a full-time store where I live.

  • New Truly Me Kitchen Set!

Finally Truly Me is getting their post-Grace set! The set is a kitchen, and was leaked when the Castleton Square Mall in Indianapolis, Indiana announced a temporary store to be opening July 9th. Here's the set: The kitchen looks super fun to play with, and I can't wait to get it when it comes out during the holidays! COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: Have you ever seen a American Girl doll in public (other than the AG store?) MY ANSWER: Yes! I've seen them twice. A couple years ago, I saw a #22 doll in AT&T and I was freaking out, and last year, I saw a Grace doll in Target. I happened to be wearing Grace's Meet Outfit for girls the day I saw Grace in Target, and the girl who was holding the doll (she was a 5 year old) said, "Look, it's Grace!" Then, I pretended to be Grace for the girl. That was awesome!

  • New Outfit! Could It Be A Truly Me Holiday Dress?

I found this outfit on the huaclub_1984 eBay account. It comes with a dress, purse and shoes. I'll tell you my speculations on it, but first, I need to leak my magic leaking water bottle--- leak! It's so beautiful! I think that this will be the accessory-less holiday dress 2016 for Truly Me because it seems to come with a purse, and the Gorgeous Gold Dress (accessory-less holiday dress 2015) came with a purse. I like that it comes with a purse, but my sister commented on the fact that they use the same shoes, but with a different color and different sequins every year. I agree with her. Boots for the Truly Me holiday outfit 2017! Here's closeups on the outfit pieces: COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: What was your favorite Truly Me holiday dress? MY ANSWER: The Merry and Bright Dress from 2011.

  • My Movie Reviews: Finding Dory!

April something 2013. I was on the Fastpass line for Soarin' at Disney World, when someone said, "There's going to be a sequel to Finding Nemo in 2015!" Then, the line turned into a party and it continued until the ride began. Now, two days ago but three years later, I finally got to see it. And it was awesome. Like usual, I'll reveal the rating after the review, and now I'll list the trailers! 1: Kubo And The Two Strings- It looked boring. If I actually saw the whole movie, I'd probably fall asleep. Nope. 2: Monster Trucks- It didn't look like a good movie. I predict that it will get a 2% on Rotten Tomatoes. 3: Sing- YES! YES! YES! I can't wait to see Sing! I'll watch it either in theaters or KissCartoon if it gets the movie early! 4: Storks- When the teaser trailer came out, it looked boring. This trailer looked interesting (especially because 5SOS was in the trailer!), but it's made by the same guys who did the Lego Movie, so I won't see it in theaters. Maybe I'll rent it or watch it on KissCartoon if it gets good reviews. 5- Ice Age: Collision Course- I'm seeing it in theaters. It seems like it's the last Ice Age movie, so hopefully they saved the best for last and Scrat finally gets his acorn. 6- Pete's Dragon- Looks boring. That's all. 7- Moana- YES YES YES YES YES YES OMG OMG YASS! I can't wait to see Moana! Theaters AND KissCartoon! Short- Piper- I loved the short before Finding Dory! I hope that Pixar is considering a full-length film about Piper. Things I loved: BABY DORY! Also, I loved all of the characters, but Baby Dory was my favorite. I also loved the plot! Things I liked: I read that Pixar were going to use a aquarium as the main setting for Finding Dory, but they changed it to a marine life institute. Great move! Things that were OK: The convenience overload. It didn't ruin the movie for me, but when will there be a movie where the characters have to solve problems with trouble along the way? Things I didn't like: (This isn't in the actual movie but I had to put this here) That one kid I sat behind that talked during the movie. Of course it had to be me that she/he sat in front of. Things I strongly disliked: Nothing! And my rating is: 9.9 stars! Conclusion: Finally they made a movie about my struggle to leak stuff! Just keep leaking, just keep leaking. COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: What face mold does the majority of your dolls have? MY ANSWER: The Classic mold.

  • Hump Day Shoutout!

First things first, I changed my comment provider because the old one got glitched up and I couldn't fix it. It wiped out all of your old comments, but it's for the best, But, this new comment provider allows you to comment unlimited comments- my old one only let you guys comment 10 comments and that's it unless I paid $5 a month or something! Plus, no more mean comments- I get to screen each comment and approve it before it's up on AGDN! OK, the shoutout is going to this week: SANTA ROSA, CALIFORNIA! The magical California finally gets a shoutout! Literally, when I went to LA for the first time, I discovered my love of directing. Like magic! COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: What's your least favorite day of the year? MY ANSWER: Independence Day. For all of my non-American followers, Independence Day is on July 4th every year and celebrates America's anniversary of independence from England not with a huge birthday cake, but fireworks. Fireworks are my biggest fear because of the loud noises they make (I hear louder than most people because of my Asperger's syndrome) and my whole neighborhood shoots them on Independence Day, so it's terrible!

  • Sydney's Special Dolls- REVEAL!

I said the reveal would be up during the afternoon, but it's around 7 pm right now. I thought we got a earlier showtime for Finding Dory (it was awesome, by the way- review coming in a day or two), but it was a 3:50 pm one and there were a lot of trailers plus a short before the movie, so it started around 4 and we didn't get out until 5:45. After a series of circumstances, including a high blood sugar and a stomach ache, here I am, typing this at 8 pm. Let's start with the familiar four- now with drawings by me! Meet Katrina- a type 1 diabetic with stars in her eyes. No, she doesn’t want to be an actress. She wants to be a wealthy director with Best Director Oscars and top tens off all time at the box office. Even though there has never, ever been a type 1 diabetic director, she is willing to try and keep her type 1 diabetes down. She likes to practice with her dolls, looks forward to spring, winter and summer breaks so she can make big productions, and always injects a message in her films. But then, she discovers that her movies could spread tons of awareness about her disease. Meet Marie- (brown hair, side bangs, hazel eyes, medium skin)- a girl with Asperger's syndrome with one dream- to become the first female president of the USA. She originally wanted to paint the White House pink when she was younger, but now she really wants to make a real difference. She writes 100 page essays on stopping poverty, gives rousing speeches to the city, and already is president of the student council. She wants to make the world a better place, even though her Asperger’s makes the little things get her.. But then, she discovers that sometimes, other people have good ideas too, and you don’t have to be the leader all of the time. Meet Cecilia- (brown hair, brown eyes, light skin)- a girl with Celiac disease who wants to be a chef. She likes cooking dishes that relate to her Italian heritage, like pizzas and pastas- too bad she can’t have any. Because of her Celiac disease, she can’t taste what she makes, so she hired her two-year old brother, Alfred for the taste-testing job. She just loves the feeling of cooking a new dish, whether if it’s for her parents, Alfred, her best friend Kenzie or a crowd full of relatives on a summer family reunion. But soon, she discovers some wheat substitutes so everyone can enjoy what she makes- Cecilia included. Meet Virginia- (blond hair, full bangs, blue eyes, light skin)- a girl who loves to run, bike- just about every activity that isn’t sitting and watching TV. But a diagnosis of dysautonomia changes Virginia’s life- because she has to keep from getting dizzy, she has to cut down on her activity. Just when all hope is lost, Virginia soon realizes that she can build her way back up to where she used to be and take care of herself. Now, let's meet our six newbies for the first time- some of them are inspired by your ideas (and I'll say thanks at the end of the bio!) Meet Amanda- (brown hair, hazel eyes, dark skin, freckles)- a girl who, even though she wears a little pink (the only pink in the collection!), is a football lover through and through! She dreams to be the first girl on the NFL, but then a sudden diagnosis of asthma changes Amanda's happy life. Now, some boys bully her for wheezing after playing a lot, and Amanda develops a sudden fear of gym class. Then, she discovers that there's always a first for everything- including playing football with asthma. (Thanks katiet/diversedollies for the idea!) Meet May (no hair, light skin, blue eyes, one freckle)- a girl who has been fighting cancer for a year when her book starts. She loves making things to give to other patients stuck in the hospital, and aspires to be an entrepreneur. Her dad is well-off and works at a Fortune 500 company, so May could get the treatment she needed- at least it seemed like it. Suddenly, the hospital loses tons of money and has to close down. Just as everyone starts saying goodbye, May realizes that she could make more handmade gifts to sell and turn it into a business to save the hospital and pay for other people’s expensive treatments. Meet Emma (dirty blond hair, light skin, brown eyes)- a girl with a limb difference who loves science. She makes prosthetic limbs with her 3D printer- like the blue one she has, studies cures for other diseases and wants to be a medical scientist when she grows up. When a science contest comes around, Emma's first thought is to join. But when she finds out that the science contest officials plan to announce the president of the National Science Club's spoiled, rich daughter as the winner just because she begged her dad to win the million dollar prize, Emma decides to try to get the real winner announced, and if it's her, donate the prize to find a cure for birth defects so that no other babies get only one arm. Meet Britney (red hair, full bangs, olive skin *I tried*, green eyes)- a girl who's partial paralysis in her legs doesn't stop her from doing what she loves- checking out nature and loving it. She thinks that there's some people in the world who like nature as much as she does, but a announcement that the community will get rid of the nature preserve for a money-making resort gets rid of Britney's optimism. She tries to protest, but then after a setback, she realizes that the worst disappointments will spark more creativity. (Thanks for the idea, Fiona!) Meet Penny (brown hair, medium skin, blue and green eyes)- a girl with heterochromia iridum that is very artistic. No, not the painting way. She likes to design buildings and restore old things- basically, give a new lease on life to everything. Penny believes that everything has a second chance. But when she finds a dog with type 1 diabetes on the street, it's so complicated learning about how to take care of him, until a trip reminds her that everything has a second chance- including Lucky the diabetic dog. (Thanks for the idea, Madee!) Meet Joy (blond hair, light skin, green eyes, birthmark)- a girl with spina bifida who is what her name suggests- a joy to have around. She thinks she is not talented compared to all of the models and actresses in magazines- but a miraculous visit to the beach gets her to experience something that was not possible before, boogie boarding. She loves it, and is inspired to try to get other kids with spina bifida to experience boogie boarding as well. (Thanks for the idea, Maddie!) So, that's it! Well, I am starting with 5 dolls from this bunch and releasing the other 5 over the next 5 years (1 every year). You get to pick who the first 5 are and who will be the first doll to be released over the 5 year period! The poll will be on the Vote page. COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: Now that you've seen the rest, who's your favorite Sydney's Special Doll? MY ANSWER: I love all of them!

  • What's More Diverse- American Girl Or America?

Disclaimer: I am using the US 2010 Census, so the America part doesn't count any people born on or after January 1, 2010. Also, I chose to include retired dolls. Also, I put all of the medium-skinned Truly Me dolls as Biracial because that's what I chose to make all of my medium-skinned Truly Me dolls, but someone else might think differently. During breakfast, I thought. "Is America more diverse than American Girl dolls or vice-versa?"After breakfast, I decided to see for myself. Let's start! There are 100 dolls (counting Melody) because 15 Historical Characters+ 7 Best Friends + 64 Truly Mes + 14 GOTYs= 100. Here's American Girl's diversity numbers: White: 10 Historical Characters, 5 Best Friends, 40 Truly Mes, 10 Girls of the Year= 65/100 dolls are white! African-American: 3 Historical Characters, 0 Best Friends. 8 Truly Mes, 0 Girls Of The Year= 11/100 dolls are African-American! American Indian/Native Alaskan: 1 Historical Character, 0 Best Friends, 0 Truly Mes, 0 Girls of the Year= 1/100 dolls are American Indian/Native Alaskan! Asian-American: 0 Historical Characters, 1 Best Friend, 5 Truly Mes, 0 Girls Of The Year= 6/100 dolls are Asian-American! Hispanic/Latino: 1 Historical Character, 0 Best Friends, 0 Truly Mes, 1 Girl of the Year 2/100 dolls are Hispanic/Latino! Biracial: 0 Historical Characters, 1 Best Friend, 10 Truly Mes, 3 Girls of the Year= 14/100 dolls are Biracial! So, like I predicted, more than half of the American Girl dolls are white. Now, let's compare them with America's stats! The winner is- AMERICA! American Girl needs to step it up with their diversity- especially those African-American and Hispanic dolls. COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: When the Sydney's Special Dolls drawings are revealed later today, should I do a post like this? P,S: I'm seeing Finding Dory today! I'm so excited, I've been waiting a long time for this. After Finding Dory, I'll reveal the dolls!

  • Willa- SOLD OUT?!?

P.S (for Pre-Script, the P.S your used to is Post-Script)- I'm home! I heard from a Instagram friend that the Wellie Wishers are sold out (AKA- out of stock) at her store. So, now that I'm home, I thought that I could use American Girl's store stock checker to figure out what dolls are sold out where! I did so, and guess what I found out? Willa is sold out in New York! Don't freak out, it's only until the AG headquarters in Middleton (Wisconsin) send more Willa dolls to the NYC store. I think this is because Willa's everyone's favorite Wellie Wisher- mine too! I have proof of this. When I asked the comment discussion question, "Who's your favorite Wellie Wisher?", the majority of you guys said that Willa was your favorite. Here's a chart: See how many people are on the Willa train? Toot-toot! COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: Should I reveal all of the Sydney's Special Dolls soon? MY ANSWER: I'm about to draw their pictures. Bye!

  • I'M COMING HOME!

Today, I'm coming back home! I can't wait to see my swingset, my puppy Snickerdoodle, and most of all, 30 of my 31 AG dolls! When I was on my trip, we looked nonstop for a Target to find card games at (but we found a Walgreen's that had some), went to the beach, my cousin's house for a birthday party and a concert. (Well- at least my mom, my sister and her friend went to the concert. I went to my other cousin's house and we played together- we didn't play AG dolls because they were boys!) But it wasn't as fun as filming videos and working on American Girl World 2.0 (yes, that's it's official name!). I can't wait to do what I love again. COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: Favorite holiday? MY ANSWER: Christmas, the only time of year people give to charity!

  • Debunking The Rumors

You might have heard the rumors that GOTY 2017's name is Gabby and that she will be the last GOTY ever. These are NOT true. The only rumor about GOTY 2017 that's true is that she'll be the first full-doll of color in 12 years. And I have collected proof. Here's my proof: Gabby- Gabriela's trademarked, but not Gabby. Also, I asked employees in the AGP about GOTY 2017's name and they say that my Tenney Grant theroy is correct. Last GOTY- Lovelivautum (who's been to the AG Headquarters before) told my friend Abbydolls on Instagram that AG told her that GOTY 2018 is in production. Disabled doll? We'll see in 2017! COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: What would you do if American Girl altogether was ending? MY ANSWER- I'd run and cry and hide from the world for 50 years.

  • ALL HOPE IS FOUND!

You guys are probably wondering why I'm posting a day early. Well, I found a way to post on my iPad (which I brought), so YAY!! Yeah. That's all I needed to say. COMMENT DISCUSSION QUESTION: Did you miss me? MY ANSWER: No because I can't miss myself!
